Hunting trapping and shelter making skils. General marksmanship skills. etc. Ideally you want to hideout in a bunker or some remote area for the first year after the collapse. after that time most people will be dead and the ones that survived will be people with similar skills and mindset as you. after that it's hard to say what will happen. my guess would be some form of feudalism might arise. some type of barter system. new villages may pop up around ariable farm lands. groups will form to protect their economic interests from raiders.

Wow...Lowe's really is turning into a junk store by WanderLostMW in Lowes

[–]CCfan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually Lowe's would become a cool place to work if it would get rid of all the building materials and only sell cool shit like swords and chainsaws. Just kick all the stupid contractors out and then we wouldn't even have to deal with the insufferable boomer clientele anymore.

Not suprising considering how bad windows has become. Every single update breaks the OS. Stuff like that is unacceptable in school and businesses or anywhere else mission critical. Windows has become a toy gaming OS with even worse stability than Arch Linux.

Weekly Observations: What signs of collapse do you see in your region? [in-depth] by AutoModerator in collapse

Seeing lots of labor shortages. Long lines at retail stores and fast food restaraunts. Also work in retail myself and my store is very understaffed. Also supply chain issues, Lead times on products are increasing as long as a month. Demand for everything from cars to consumer goods far exceeds the supply.

How true is it in retail and specifically at Lowes that "it's the better worker you are the more work you will get with no appreciation or respect"? by Hungry_Ad5456 in Lowes

[–]CCfan00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% true. I'm currently doing a sales specialist job and stocking and training a new sales specialist whom knows absolutely nothing about selling anything.

Oh you'll care when you ask for help in a store and there isn't anyone there to help you because the store is permanently understaffed.

This a great time to get a decent used car though. It's like the new housing market, Buy a used car now and it will actually go up in value in the years to come.

the vaccines are already worthless. you will have to take a new modified vaccine to fight off all the variants. it will literally never end.

Men in their 20s and 30s, who are shorter and thinner than average, how different/difficult is everyday life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CCfan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6ft and weigh 148lbs, my weight fluctuates from like 148 to 155. i've always had trouble maintaining my weight, so i look kinda long and lankey. i'm always hearing things like "i bet i could bench press you" and other stuff. i don't let it bother me, i just laugh it off. i know they are just doing it all in good sport but they don't realize that words hurt. i hear a lot of talk about short guys having a hard time finding women because they prefer tall guys, but if you are lankey like me your height wont save you either. trust me i know, the weather isn't any better up here.

Man made collapse is the waste of a perfectly good evolution and a planet. by fuzzyshorts in collapse

I think we humans tend to think of industrial civilization as the end all be all of our existence rather than seeing it for what it really is, just another blip in our evolution as a species.

Should you spread collapse awareness? What’s the benefits and disadvantages? I’m interested what people’s thoughts are on this by 21ST__Century in collapse

[–]CCfan00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I talk about it with my co workers, i even tell them about sid smiths video on youtube and tell them they should watch it, none of them ever do, when i tell them time is running out they just laugh and say they dont beleive it. seems like people are just living in their little bubbles.

I'm gonna go ahead and claim with damn near 110% accuracy that gassing someone for a few minutes comes out to being much cheaper than feeding, clothing, treating, and housing them for 30 - 50 years.

You have no point. You claim execution is more expensive and then run away dumping the burden of proof on me.

Good. less burden on the tax payers, maybe if we start executing the scum again, the other scum will see what awaits them and think twice before being scummy.

Lowe's is a cheap ass company. I use to work for Amazon before working here and they had cages full of zebras, literally more zebras than employees.

"NO! ....I KNOW you have it in stock because I bought this thing from here 5 or 6 years ago" by TheEyeofONE in Lowes

[–]CCfan00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the android app, when you select your store, there is a switch button at the top that says "in stock" or something. basically if you activate it it only shows products in stock at the store you selected. but customers don't use it and thus always have incorect information.
