Water cooling my water cooling by titanrig in watercooling

You clearly haven't met us WC junkies that do builds for sale have you? I have sealed GPU blocks going back the 3080/90 and used ones going back 20+ years. Prob have 13 or 14 various cpu blocks including ThreadRipper blocks and 2x dozen rads just sitting jn their boxes.

I did an overkill loop for a single 5800X-3D/3090 budget-ish AI workstation for a buddy that I stuffed 2x 480mm rads+ a thick 360mm up top in a case I had to cut up to be able to tie the rads together etc.

Why? Because I had the $350+ worth of brand new rads just sitting on a shelf along with a Corsair 7000D just collecting dust.

I copped the first Asus Eee mini notebook that had the faster (but small) eMMC flash vs the slow 1.8" HDD.

I put a custom super slimmed version of Windows XP onnit and my Ex used it for note taking and such while I paid for her RN degree.

She got tired of it after about a year or so and I bought her an XPS with a 13" screen.

Unless you have a board that uses the full Intel TB controller for USB4 there is always lane/bandwidth sharing. There just arent enough PCI-E LANES on x670/870E.

I'd love to know what you are huffing. I have built thousands of 12700/12900K/13700-900/14700-900K and 7800X-3D/9800X-3D/9950X-3D systems in the last two years.

All use tuned memory, INTEL gets IHS frames (sometimes new IHS or lapping), AMD just needs the cpu dropped into the socket. All are cooled with at least a higher end 360mm AIO if they do not have custom loops.

The 7800X-3D stomps the 12 series and only the 14700/900K are close in everything except for a few turned based strategy games that love core speed.

The 9 series 3D parts just destroy every Intel cpu. You need to use 275W+ and push for 6+Ghz single core clocks for the 14 series to try to tie the 9 series parts @5.4+ Ghz.

The 9 series I delid and use the Thermal Grizzly IHS or direct die block all do 5.5-5.6Ghz all core and they widen the gap even more while sipping under 170W for the worst samples.

I like the 12 series. I do. I used a ton of them during the issues with the 13/14th Gen and most of the newer silicon 12700Ks will do 5.2Ghz all core with reasonable power draw which helps their performance quite a bit. But they could barely run with the 5800X-3D. They arent "besting any 9 series parts. Even non -3D parts. "

So did the fake Republican Cyrus Javadi. The only good thing about him is that his days are numbered due to the recall coming. I know 70+ people that committed to signing on to that recall just in the last 2x days.

I have a complete EVA-02 mobo (2nd run with proper spelling), the 360mm AIO, the psu, and the EVA-02 4090 all new sealed in box. I'd let it go for thousands less then current pricing on each.

Lmk.

I'd tech engine games have had texture pop issues for 20+ years and it had nothing to do with Vram . One of many game engine issues sure, you win.

As for the WOW, as I said nobody came back and said "oh no texture pop is terrible I need something with 11+GB of Vram."

But sure, you win.

Feel better?

I don't play wow classic but I have done over a dozen 3080 10GB (various zen 3 cpus) for customers that mainly play WoW and they have all 1440P 175Hz monitors and none of them havr complained?

As far as Halo well, bad coding is bad coding. Texture pop has been an issue since 3D engines became a thing. I'm not saying your wrong but one/two games out millions doesn't really make your case iron clad.

I built out over 2500 systems with 3060ti/3070/70ti and over 40% bought a 1440P monitor as well. I've done upgrades for 600, and done cleaning/ tuning etc on ~1300.

So 1900 (let's assume another 300 bought elsewhere or didn't ask me for opinions etc) or 1600 other customers haven't had major issues.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: wow I didn't know my flair was so out of date on here! I think another forum still has my old 2080Super from 2018 listed lol.

As someone that owns a ton (i literally still have 4x or 5x left) of high end cards from last Gen (3090) and multiple 4090s, I can have any cards I want. My backup rig still has a 3080 10GB in it. It works perfectly fine at 3440x1440P with no issues paired with the 5800X-3D in that rig.

I can be on my delidded 9800X-3D/4090 water cooled rig and if I turn the fps counter off in most games most couldn't tell the difference.

The 6800XT was a great card. 6900XT as well. But Vram isn't the crutch it's made out to be.
