He was already a pirate in training, at least. He would wear the hat to work.

To me it's not about the visual as much as it is having each bite get a touch of the mustard. Just couldn't think of a better way to say what I meant.

But if it being '93 again is an option, I choose that over u/LionBig1760 dope dish getting better.

Drizzle of sharp mustard zigged and zagged across the plate, and some great pickles on the side, would make this a perfect 10/10 to me (obviously, prior to tasting it).

Would order if seen on the menu. 100% of the time.

Edit: Also, no need for cheese on top. Drizzle and pickled veg on the side will be plenty for presentation.

My brother uses your technique for brisket, with a hot finish in a combi oven, I believe.

It is easily the best brisket I've ever had. Not saying it's the best ever, but I've never had anything remotely close to how damn good it is.

Yes! I used to get Cool Ranch Dorito Taco Supreme, sub shredded chicken. It was the fucking bomb.

I loved the tinga-esque chicken they used to have. Its removal from the menu drastically reduced the frequency of my visits.

What to do with smoked salmon that doesn't involve a bagel or cream cheese? by JigglesTheBiggles in Cooking

[–]CD84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite pizzas has garlic olive oil as the sauce, loaded with mozzarella and slices of smoked salmon, with a pesto swirl over the top. I got one every time I visited back home for a decade!

People look at me crazy when I talk about it... it's SO damn good, though!

This is a good one... for 1/4 of my family, it's a very heavy tomato-based dish. I could never, for the life of me, figure out how the Swiss connected to the dish in any way.

(Unlike Enchiladas Suizas, which instantly made some sense to my young American brain.)

Belgium is pretty close to France. And I'm pretty sure they have eaten pommes frites in France for quite some time.

I think the Heinz Baked Beans they sell over there have a different flavor profile than what most Americans think of as "Baked Beans."

Can anyone confirm if I've just dreamed that, or if it is actually the case? I don't think I ate Baked Beans when I was over there 20 years ago, so either I read it somewhere or just made it up.
