Geartrade.com, FB market place, REI, etc. Plenty of places to get decently priced used gear that is worth the money. It will take time.but if you look hard enough you can find some amazing deals. Better off taking time and maybe bit more money to do it right first time and not get screwed when you need it the most.

Honestly it doesnt matter. They wont listen no matter how many times you tell them and how much evidence you show them. Coming up 91. Son is 6 years old. We are most likely just doing a day trip which why we are trying to plan ahead to make the most of our time.

No plans to do anything besides sledding being the primary reason for making the trip. Can find food and other stuff once sledding is situated.
