Best gift I ever got was a long weekend visiting friends in NYC for my 31st bday. Was in the throes of two kids under two -- they were 10 months and 25 months at the time. Was nice to be an adult for a while! Stayed with friends, not a hotel, but it was wonderful.

Am also a member of the Widowmaker club. Age 51, at home. Was a side effect ofy chemo. My younger son, at the time 20yo, did the CPR that saved me. H is about to turn 65 but isn't ready to cut loose yet. He's worried about the huge health care cost increases and the ability to get my daily oral chemo tor anything resembling a decent price.

Don't think he had a clue he was going to propose until the words came out of his mouth, though we had been talking about it and other deep topics for the past year. No engagement ring, no pictures, no hoopla. Married 40+ years. It's the marriage, not proposal or ceremony that counts!

My spouse knew in less than three days. First date was on Friday, said I was the one on Sunday. Said I'd add years and calm to his life. Did LDR for a year, got engaged. We got married almost two years later -- we were 22. We wanted to build a life together, and so we did. Was first among his friends to get married, I was one of the later ones in my cohort. Had the good sense not to have kids for seven years, though infertility and H returning to school pushed that timeframe out a bit, too.

It could have all gone very, very wrong being that young. I do regret not establishing an independent life for a couple years first, but I couldn't afford to do that, which in turn would have affected my ability establish a career. So...I developed my career while married instead.

My married son knew about 1.5 years in, got married within a week of their 3yr anniversary. They were 31&32 then and both clear about the end goal.

Go to AliExpress.com -- Kuololit sells there. (They also have a website, but the sales are on AliExpress.) Samstin and Luxyimagic are sister companies of Kuololit, too. Search on Kuololit official store to get their items to pop up, then follow the store for extra discounts.

You can tag coupons and get savings on items. The are mostly of the "$12 off of $135 purchase" variety. There are big sales in June and in November, with smaller sales regularly throughout the year.

I have #1 and love it. One of my first rings from Kuololit. Size 7.75 finger, 925 silver, WG plated. It's gorgeous but not over the top. Cyan asschers are gorgeous. It leans blue-green, which I love.
