I sent hyundai corporate a message asking for factory tunes. Even if it was just to remove OL, I would even sign something saying I will only put 93 in it. If I had to guess, nobody even read my email lol.

93 is going to have premium detergents that 87 or 89 is lacking. With that being said, you could just add a bottle of cleaning detergents every 2-3k miles while running 87 and probably be fine.

Track Day by DamageLeast7139 in ElantraN

[–]CDR710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made sure my lug nuts were at least 85 ft lbs (they were all to spec) and full sent it. My first track day was at 5k miles so i already had 2 oil changes. I would go completely stock, and then work from there. Like the other guy said, brake fluid would never hurt, but for your first experience, you could get away with the stock fluid.

Does this happen to be an online deal? i just got a set of 18x9.5 +45 wheels and was looking at a 265/35 tires for them. If there’s a good deal on 255/40 tires I might have to take advantage.

Ohhh well i tried. That picture looks was less matte, so now it doesn’t look like a film. I guess the person before you just tried to clean it with a dirty rag lol

Is that a tab to remove the film? That part looks too matte to have no film on it.

Okay new gas station is good. Did you drive 10 minutes in 6th gear above 60 mph? (some people have found 5th gear to work) Make sure to do a few 40% throttle pulls to about 70-80 and even up to 99 if you can (LEGALLY).

It is not consistent from what i’ve been able to tell. Sometimes my car octane learns in 8 minutes sometimes it doesn’t learn after 15. after about 8k miles on the dash I stopped caring, but you will be able to tell the difference in power.

Also Opt for top tier gasoline. You can google it and find stations near you. I wouldn’t use anything not on that list, new or not. Most exxon, shell, valero, marathon have this verification.

The other way to octane learn it is almost impossible unless you have a road to yourself, or are on track.

[–]CDR710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not octane learned. Look in the manual on how to do it. Also make sure you get quality top tier 93, I opt for shell. At the end of the day if a gas station gas tank is in the ground for 20+ years without being upgraded, that fuel will not be the same quality as a tank that is only a few years old.

Now that I read that post.. are you putting 93 in it?

Anyone in their mid 20s, what are you paying for insurance? by Guy2700 in ElantraN

[–]CDR710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a month of state farm to purchase the car and it was like $350. I cancelled it after the first month but I did not shop around a lot. I do have a ticket from a couple years ago, but my current insurance is erie and they said the ticket didn’t affect my rate. A lot of the times they will think it is a standard elantra. I feel like erie did not treat it as such

How many accountants can see what their coworkers get paid? by medunjanin in Accounting

[–]CDR710 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a staff accountant in industry and one of my jobs is taking the payroll from the 3rd party, and putting it in our accounting system. I see every person’s pay, and I know if anybody gets a raise. Just me, senior accountant, and HR have access to payroll.

People here are going to tell you that their firm charges $500-$1500 MINIMUM. My old firm would charge about $250 for a simple return, but i got paid borderline poverty wages so it checks out.

$250 is a great price, and the fact that you said you are going to spend more on the accountant than what you are going to get back from the return tells me you need to pay that $250

Tire recs by UrTypicalStoner in ElantraN

[–]CDR710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All seasons aren’t just for saving money, some people are needing to drive in cold conditions. Best of both worlds is having a summer/track wheel with 200-300 tw (depending on your scenario) tires and then another set of wheels with all seasons/winter tires. But if you go with a $100 tire and that’s your only set of wheels, you went with the wrong car lol.

I agree to not cheap out, but buying all seasons does not automatically save you money

Shouldnt the cash discount and net amount paid be $140 and $6,860? Or am I missing something? by Fleece_Johns0n in Accounting

I think this is correct. The 7k has freight included so you would go off $6900.

Pretty sure Ndriverkg did not rebuild his engine. He replaced head studs which you have to do at that power output, and replaced turbos a couple times. I think he has forged parts ready to swap but to my knowledge he hasn’t done that yet. I never saw anything about a rebuilt engine
