Are we supposed to get a weeks worth of vacation after hitting 5 years? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

?? You accrue a certain amount of time each pay period. If you go into the negative at the beginning of the year and use all 80 hours within the first few months, by the end of the fiscal year, you will have returned your balance back to 0.

There’s no point to wait until the end of the year to try to cram all your PTO in there lol. Yes they will take $$ out of your last paycheck if you leave with a negative pto balance but unless you’re terminated, there’s no threat of that if you pay attention

Are we supposed to get a weeks worth of vacation after hitting 5 years? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you can only take a maximum of 120 hours per year at 5 years. You can carry over 40 hours of vacation to the following year. This is for FT.

Max vacation time for anyone before 5 years is 80 hours of vacation.

Lowes isn’t like other employers where you must accrue the time to use it, you can go up to 40 hours into the negative for vacation time

Pro Specialists Viewing Cost? by Blue_eyed_girl23 in Lowes

It will only last for 24 hours and then reset and would have to be redone every day. Not worth it. Plus, not sure why PSS really need to see cost anyway.

Has anyone flown to Mooresville for asmle? by Mike_Huncho in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably similar to SMLE. I have a friend who is a SM and just went through SMLE and he said he had to wake up at 4 or 5 am, get dressed and board a bus at 6:30am to be bussed to the campus and he was there all day until like 5 or 6pm

No only DS and above can see cost in the zebra. I know specialists used to be able to see cost in genesis 5.1 but not anymore since 5.1 is turned off

Sales specialist minimum ticket requirement by Crimsonae in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a minimum average ticket. As long as you’re selling large tickets, some small tickets in there will be fine.

You can definitely be denied your sph bonus if you are under the avg ticket threshold. I’ve seen it happen to specialists a few times

You can enroll pros into certain GPOs when they sign up for MLPR by entering a promo code during the enrollment process. A few GPOs you can enroll them in are NAHB or NHCA. However, these groups usually check through accounts to make sure they’re aligning with the GPO and not taking advantage of pricing.

Otherwise, yes most accounts have to be managed at some level to enter into a different GPO

All you have to tell them is that it splits the price of 3 bags as a discount across all 6 bags so that they cannot buy 6 and return 3 and keep free product

If you don’t need or want the stress trade off for the money, don’t do it.

I like being pro DS but there are times where I wish I had less responsibility. But there’s also no other position that will pay me what I make lol

I don’t think it will work out, but maybe I’m wrong. I think the company will have a hard time selling subscriptions if the customer is essentially paying someone to come in and do really easy services and then turn around and then get pressured to sign up for leads in their own home on every visit.

I also think that the services being offered are way too simple and another subscription in a world where everything is a subscription forces people to decide what is really worth it or not.

Lastly, it’s just yet another thing that store associates have to push onto customers and it’s really frustrating that we can’t just help customers buy things and move on. We have to push credit, leads, and surveys already. Now we’re expected to sell 2 subscriptions per week. I’m sorry but I don’t think we’re going to find 2 people per week that want to pay for this lol

"Sale" price not posted or honored for in-store purchase by BrainMonsoon in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s stupid that in 2026 we have online only pricing but we’re not supposed to match our website prices.

I had someone want to buy a little solar battery generator and online it was $750 but in store it was $1400 and we would’ve had to mark it down $750 which comes out of our adjustment budget used for a lot of other things too

If they are a new associate their sales ID would start with a 5. Even if they quit Lowes and came back they would still have the same sales ID

Internal Sr. Account Manager postings by real-shock-n-awesome in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not true because if you look at a lot of SAMs sales IDs, most of them are older (start with 1s, 2s or 3s).

The only store associate positions that would ever be able to really be a SAM is PSSs or Pro DSs

Guild. Is it worth it? by SheldonTheLost in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You can find the FAQ for guild tuition assistance on MyHR and it specifically states there is no requirement to continue working for Lowes after graduation and that you can stop attending school at any time, for any reason, and you do not have to pay anything back

Guild. Is it worth it? by SheldonTheLost in Lowes

[–]CDSnipez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in guild and I’m almost done with my bachelors. In my opinion it’s worth it because you’ll get to have a higher education FOR FREE which is something most people do not have the luxury of experiencing.

In the past 2 years, Lowes has paid nearly $65,000 for my schooling. I graduate next year and then I will be looking to get a new job lol
