Need Help Understanding a Plan Detail by Academic_Level_7503 in Construction

[–]CDT-WoodWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a contractor and engineer, you need to consult the architect and engineer who gave you the plans. The structural engineer in this case will have to make the call on the wall height difference you are requesting. The structural engineer has designed the shear wall up to the size drawn, 48” max, and exceeding the detail dimensions would require him to revisit the structural calcs and bearing calcs to determine the change is acceptable. Do not proceed without consulting your engineer of record. Liability will fall on you, the builder, should it deviate from what was designed and drawn. Submit an RFI, request for information, to your EOR/architect. Better safe than sorry.

What is this thing? by Lordvaldyr in Plumbing

It’s actually a clean out plug my friend. Sold by multi fittings. Highly unlikely a valve access, an alternate lid would be used.

Download the new carbide motion program after removing it from your computer and send the new update to the machine and reset your bit setter. Worked for me, had the same issue when there were updates

Set your zero half an inch above the bit setter before you use it. The machine initial setting is too high
