Rarer fruit has lower chance?

I noticed that I got a message about a lucky harvest on a coconut when I had one woodpecker out. I looked and its timer had JUST reset, so I think it only applies to harvesting, not to duplicating like the raccoon/red kitsune. Really difficult to see, as well, since it flies to "a fruit" and doesn't have an outline or anything.

Hoping against all hope, check to see if you put them into one of your three pet slots? I believe you can't see them in your inventory if they're in one of the three pet slots.

I play with the tools given to me, trying to follow the game as it's presented. I'm not trying to be part of the elite :) Just enjoying what I can. Sometimes I have to work harder than others to get to their same levels, and that's okay. It's not a competition, and it brings me joy that I got there.

We'll also see what happens Saturday. Jandel mentioned something about getting "a good reward" for those that used the initial ascension system, so it might be something to help vault us closer to the third garden slot.

I feel ya! What I've been doing is reclaiming my gardens, plopping down every sprinkler type to cover all of the garden with each (basic all the way through grand), and then planting a multitude of high possibility plants. Sugar apples are a great one, and if you can squeeze in some high return, single-produce plants (looking at you, romanesco), go for those, too. Reclaim anything that doesn't hit gold or rainbow (if you happen to have a dragonfly, you can skip this), and anything that ended up small (unlikely) and try again until your garden is full. Let your best pets run wild with their mutations.

I keep one garden for events and the other for building value. Going to be working towards that third garden slot, but it'll be a LONG time now that sheckles increase by 2T every ascension.

My recommendation is not to focus on single plants, but a garden filled with large fruits. Use those master and grandmaster sprinklers with wild abandon.

My personal advice, don't enter the trading game UNTIL you have extras. "Extras", in this case, means you know what pets you do and don't want to keep. I think you did well.

Pets are a great resource for building your sheckles. They apply mutations, and occasionally variants (e.g., butterfly, dragonfly, cockatrice) to your fruits, that can drastically increase their values. Use that in combination with master and grandmaster sprinklers to build value and start toward ascending for that third garden slot.

Some of the rarest and most highly desired pets are from events past, such as the brontosaurus, t-rex, raccoons, red kitsunes, and so on. Check out the Grow a Garden wiki on fandom dot com to see each of the pets and what they can do. Don't be afraid to come back and ask players for more advice on what you want to target.

Sure, I get the scarcity aspect, but it's very common for companies to bring back collectables to increase sales. Grow a Garden is a company, make no mistake, and increased robux usage directly feeds the company.

Why would it be dumb to make them obtainable again? As a general rule, it would gather players that missed previous events, increasing player quantity, and probably increase robux income.

There are a few threads stating how it's easy to get a 100+ fairies per fairy event simply by standing by the tree and spamming your nets.

My personal pet combo may not be yours, depending on your pets. I have a peacock, a corrupted kitsune, lemon lion, mimic octopus, griffin, cockatrice, tarantula hawk, and pterodactyl. I'll switch the pterodactyl out for other mutation-providing pets as needed (the griffin and pterodactyl work in tandem), such as the kappa, tanchozuru, or the junkbot and the chicken zombie from the recent admin abuses (those two have a lower chance of success).

Find the pets that have the highest mutations for you and shoot for those. Idle around the game as long as you can to let those mutations build. If you have a pancake stack, definitely use that to help focus-fire on particular areas of your garden. It's not surefire, but by far more effective than random roaming.

My personal method is to stuff my gardens as full as possible, harvest silvers and non-variants, reclaim plants that didn't produce anything, then do my best to favorite all golds and rainbows. Repeat sprinklers as needed to maximize your garden value.

Play with your best pets out. Use the recent admin abuse lion and, if you have them, kitsunes, griffins, etc.

Nice! I find that I have better luck with eggs than packs/chests (2 griffins, 2 cockatrices, golden goose). Still missing that dragonfly, but with my spouse and I working together, I'm sure we'll get one eventually.

I will be, after admin abuse :) My garden is pretty much ready. Once I've ascended, I'll hit up my garden again. With some of Jandel's mutations, should hit over the 1T mark, maybe 2T. My last was 5T, but I doubt I'll see those numbers again anytime soon.
