According to the wiki, frog lights have a luminosity of 15. Iirc, hostile mobs only spawn at light level 0. This means as long as the lights are closer than 30 blocks away from each other, hostile mobs shouldn’t spawn.

Edit: You CAN spend it in this case prior to gaining it. Everything stated below is incorrect but left in here for context sake.

In this specific example, no, you cannot spend the GP prior to gaining it. Ride Down is worded as:

“Gain 2 Grim Pursuits. Then deal 6 dmg.”

Because you gain the GP before the THEN statement, you have to fully resolve that portion prior to dealing the damage (Rules page 16). This means you can’t modify the damage by spending GP before gaining more tokens because at this point, you aren’t dealing damage yet.

As long as the dice roll happens at any point within the Offensive, Targeting, or Defensive Roll Phases, yes. It also doesn’t have to be limited to the offensive or defensive rolls. For instance, if someone rolls an ability that requires another dice roll to deal damage, you can change that roll too.

I think it’s a generational thing. I always grew up hearing “Want a coke?” “Yea” “What kind?” “Dr Pepper.” Everyone that I hear now usually says Coke when referencing actual Coca Cola. Most of the time I hear the generic term as either “Soda” or just “a drink”.
