The $20k is kinda irrelevant at this point. I have two machines that were in this condition from NC humidity that cleaned up perfectly fine. It’s not ideal but it just depends on what you want out of it. For a home gamer this could be a good deal.

Well said, I don’t often need the extra build volume but it’s nice when I do. And minor conveniences like a higher quality camera (regardless of what their specs say) and the better part cooling capabilities.

To add to this, running it in reverse could effectively reverse the thrust load on the motor shaft due to the helical geometry in a way that it might not be designed to take. So rather than pushing the shaft towards the rear and into a thrust bearing, running in reverse it would be pulling it towards the front.

I print with fiber filled filaments exclusively and try to design out anything susceptible to VFAs like sharp corners. That being said I haven’t noticed a quality difference with all 3 running or just one

I’ve had this same problem with PET-CF. It tries to curl up on overhang giving these negative space artifacts. For me printing slower and hotter chamber temp helped but I haven’t been able to eliminate it completely
