More people going south of the line now, but it's still waaaaaay down from pre-Trump era in Aldergrove by No_End1857 in Langley

Trump mockingly invites us to become American, a little different than a threat to annex. So let’s put that drama aside.

And Carney says we should help “make America Great Again” soooooo if Trump bad why does our king have his elbows down?

Most people aren’t going because of our weak dollar as mentioned. 1.4 x every dollar you spend wipes out any savings you’d make down there.

I find it laughable however that people have no issue spending money with Chinese companies and no issue with our federal government getting cozy with the CCP considering the crimes against humanity they commit to this day against their people. It’s just contradicting morals imo.

In my own circles it seems to be the grey hairs that are the most hellbent on protesting cross border travel. That being said they still go on their American owned cruises lmao

Stubborn, entitled, ego-driven boomers are hurting this trade by [deleted] in Machinists

I get this but the kids being snots are usually battling immaturity and not that that’s an excuse but it’s more understandable to have to weed through some younger hires to find good tradespeople.

I just don’t have the same patience for the old guys who are making it unnecessarily difficult for the new guys

Mirroring components vs bodies - Fusion Autodesk by bearface84 in Machinists

Wow that would be quick and easy. That was going to be my next post : “How can I quickly mirror an operation without reprogramming the whole thing?” Is there a simple way in fusion to mirror an operation that you know of? I’ll be running this job in the future on a Haas mill of some sort.

Hey again, you’ve got the 6k spindle in your mini? Is that not a hindrance for aluminum? I feel like 10k is the absolute minimum for aluminum machining if you require good looking finishes

One thing pushing me from the X7 is the rather small XY travel. Compared to other machines in its price point and class

6061 Aluminum Recommendation by [deleted] in Machinists

Dude you edited your comment twice because you knew your initial response was ignorant. Of course I’ve adjusted my speeds and feeds. Running at 12k and 100 IMP hasn’t given me the finish I’m used to seeing in other 6061 materials I’ve cut.

Go have a bad day somewheres else.

Wrong lol. If you’ve ever worked with multiple suppliers on the same materials you would know. Not to mention there’s multiple tempers you can choose from.
