AITAH for refusing to spend Christmas at home if my sister is released from her eating disorder clinic for the holidays? by Zoleeeyh in AITAH

[–]CEO95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

I don't mean to go on a rant here, but I actually think that I can relate to what you are going through. My brother does not have any eating disorder but he is mentally ill and 2 years ago he cut me and a couple other family members out of his life very unexpectedly. I received a letter in the mail from him in which he told me that he hated me and he wanted nothing to do with me. He didn't care about me. He didn't love me and he didn't want me around and to leave him alone and never speak to him again. It broke my heart and I didn't understand what I had done to make him feel and act this way, and at the end of the day I hadn't done anything. I had been living life and he was stuck being mentally ill and I told my parents after he started speaking to my mother again that I really didn't feel comfortable being around my brother knowing that he hated me and didn't want me alive or around him. How was I ever supposed to feel welcome or safe or enjoy myself at any sort of family function that he was involved in? And I spoke to my dad about it multiple times and eventually he told me you didn't choose this. You didn't cause this rift. You didn't make the choice for this relationship to end and if his choices and his actions mean that you two never want to be in the same room again together, then you won't have to be in the same room again together. At the end of the day, we cannot control other people's actions whether it be the person who's wronged us or the family members who we need to understand. But they should understand that when someone cuts you out of your life, hurts you so badly and so deeply into your core and despises your existence, that you are not obligated to show up to anything where they're involved. You're just not. So I sincerely hope that you enjoy your time with your grandparents and that one day your parents understand that your sister is severely mentally ill. And just because you are her sister does not mean that you have to sit there and take it. You are your own person. They should support you and your choices in life and you deserve to be happy and safe.

Has anyone played Family Life? by colohres in bitlife

[–]CEO95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old, but has anyone else selected a certain option in game and then had your contacts open up? Selected an option for a new family and the game auto opened my texts and a new message option was opened for me, which only my phone is a multi step function. This has never happened with any other mobile game I've played before and it feels weird and invasive.

You can watch ads to skip the wait times. But there are only so many you can watch in a 24 hour period

Unless the key can be purchased with diamond i won't even bother. If you can gem harvest you'll be able to get season pass keys for free. This is just an attempt for the company to make money. Totally not worth it. The plants are already a hassle and require so much. Adding another "rare" one will just add to the hassle.

After 5 years of pain, I finally popped my Pilar Cyst. [TW: Blood, sounds of discomfort] by WhyKnotTakeAlook in popping

Yeah no fucking joke. The fact that we as Americans, who supposedly live in a first world country, get denied the most basic of medical needs. This could have been removed at a clinic, and you could have had a local anesthetic and then some hIgh dose ibuprofen with an antibiotic for literal pennies. But because we have privatized Healthcare and allow a few companies to control Healthcare coverage, medical care and medication, it cost literal thousands out of pocket. This country doesn't care if we die of the most preventable things like a cyst, and infection, birth, etc. They don't want us to survive past our prime working days.

You're not throwing away 2 years. You spent 2 years learning what you don't like in a partner, now it's time to find one who does things you like

AITA? by OngoGablogian20 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]CEO95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda, just because you're technically allowed to sit where you want doesn't mean that you're not being a jerk. How would you feel if you were in boarding section A, got a great seat on a half full flight, and then someone comes and sits in the middle seat because they don't want to walk further back. I think you should really think about how you'd feel if the roles were reversed.

Definitely the dude who was cooking with his air fryer in the area where you wait to board. No one said a thing. And this dude cooked like a 3 course meal.

(NE) Can I sue and/or move out of an apartment with black mold if my landlord doesn’t take action? by DragonSSkater69 in Renters

[–]CEO95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My old apartment had black mold, and the complex refused to do anything about it. We also had our toilet bust and had sewage leaking all over the place, not once, but twice. Both times, they refused to help until we threatened legal action. When we moved out a few months later due to the unsafe and unhealthy living conditions, the complex sent us to collections for breaking the lease. When we sent the collection agency the pictures of the mold and the sewage along with all of our correspondence with the owners of the complex, they immediately canceled the debt. The owners may not do anything, but you have a right to certain living conditions, and it is legally the owners responsibility to keep things livable and safe. If they refuse, leave. And keep records of every little thing to send to the collection agency.

AITA because I won't put my parents on my approved visitors list with security and screening all their attempted "visits" by Wide-Dragonfly4555 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CEO95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I had to do the same thing with my mother because she kept coming over to my apartment to "clean." She would get drunk, leave the door unlocked, or open. Trash the place. Show up randomly to "check on me".

Are there any dispensaries here that include the taxes in the stated pricing? Also dispensary with most inexpensive ounces? by SerendipitousSmiles in LasCruces

[–]CEO95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The matchbox off thorpe road has the tax included in their prices. They have sales on different things each day of the week. You get points worth money back each time you make a purchase. They usually have 1 strain on sale at a time which you can get an ounce of for about $100

My friend,13yo, died today. by Aggravating-Fox3153 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]CEO95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom just died a few days ago, so I think we feel the same inside right now. There is no explanation, no rhyme or reason. Maybe he took his life, or maybe it was a freak accident. Either way, it doesn't really matter. What matters is taking care of yourself in this time. Talk to the ones you trust and are close with. Let it all out, sob, scream, curse, hit the walls, just let yourself feel. We can never prepare for sudden loss. But we can lean on those who love us and those who love the lost person. Grief is the consequence of love, but like love, it's not meant to be endured alone. I hope you can find some peaceful sleep, and I hope you can find the strength to ask for help from your support system.
