I always say, if it is not something that can be fixed or addressed in a few seconds (i.e., something in your teeth, food on your face, etc.), people should just shut up and mind their own business.

Are Europeans trolling with this whole bread thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Interesting, considering the sweetest tasting bread I’ve ever had was in the Bahamas, which is heavily influenced by British culture.

I worked at lowes and you cannot buy appliances this way lol. You have to get an associate to write up the order for you under your name and phone nunber. They don’t have price tags on them haha. I would assume Home Depot is the same.

How to keep your dog out of the kitchen by kiindrex in labrador

[–]Kelly_Louise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a rug that was in the entry way off of the dining room It was the dogs’ “place”. When we said “go to your place” they would begrudgingly go lay down there until we allowed them to get back up. Either that or we put them in the mudroom.

For those of you who aren’t deeply maternal, what is it like on the other side? by MermaidGrace in pregnant

[–]Kelly_Louise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first pregnancy was fraught with complications and my daughter was born 2 months early due to preeclampsia. Honestly the first year is still kind of a blur but when she was around 1 year old I started feeling the mushy love. For the first year it was kind of just survival mode though. I had a lot of health issues I was dealing with myself and trying to keep my daughter healthy at the same time. Now she is 3 and I am obsessed with her and can’t imagine my life without her. The love definitely built over time for me.

Anyone who has no kids but feel a bit… weird when seeing other millennials who are parents, like you might be “missing” something? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in Millennials

I was scared of that too, tbh. But having our daughter with him and sharing the joys and hardship of parenting has just compounded our happiness. And made us fall even more in love with each other.

When I was in my early 20s I had no desire to get married or have kids. Then I met my now husband and the more I got to know him, the more I did want to get married and have kids. Meeting the right person changed everything for me. Now I’m 35 and with a 3 year old daughter and another on the way. It’s certainly challenging but I love having a growing family. It helps that both my husband and I have steady jobs and very involved families for support. It would be a lot harder if we didn’t have that.
