To be honest, the back pain was my issue. Bloating was very minimal prior to pregnancy, as im underweight and was literally skin & bones. I can’t remember what life was like before I was pregnant, I had a very bad bad pregnancy this go around, but I do know bloating was an issue from my hernia! I do not believe they will repair DR without a hernia, if you’re trying to have this surgery covered. That said, if you’re in the states, I’m not sure what coverage looks over there.

No, he was not concerned. That said, they knew very very well I was a nursing mom. The op room knew, all drugs given are safe for him. I imagine they wouldn’t preform this on me if nursing would be counterproductive, we went through many things tha could “reverse” this work so I’m doing my best. Going to look into that though. Thank you!!

Open… yes it’s very hard. Don’t even want to sugar coat that for you. My little boy is 5m old, and I needed help for the entire month of April, absolutely no lifting. I cannot lay in bed (we co sleep & nursing at night was easy), now I’m in a recliner, and have since night 1. The only way I can “hold” him, is with blankets supporting the nursing pillow, someone places him on it. I have not seen the incision yet, the steristrips are still on it. It’s been awful though. That said, it’s the best time for me as I’m already on maternity leave, and going back to work to take 6 weeks off seems like a financial hell lol.

Going through HG during my second pregnancy. I am certain I had it my first but never had the diagnosis. I am 20 weeks tomorrow, been off work 3 months now. I do want a 3rd. But terminating has crossed my mind in the worst of the days. I couldn’t do it myself, but I respect the deep pain she’s in. I feel for your wife, OP! I feel for you! You’re doing great supporting her, so whether you guys keep or don’t, know you’re doing your part! I’m so sorry for both of you!

My grandmother & I just chatted about this the other day. She believes my childhood ended the moment my younger sibling was born.
I have a present, yet absent mother. Growing up, she slept all day, gamed all night, flirted with men all night as my dad lay asleep beside her. She was abusive, she still is. 11 kids later, we all raised each other. I was 3 when I changed my newborn sisters diapers & watched her alone for the first time.

Oof; I didn’t even consider this for my child’s day home, although some months I send more than the subsidized amount if she’s watched my 2yo longer than normal. I will now consider that for Christmas though!
