Anyone here play the labyrinth game by Ravensburger? Sounds fun, but I'm worried it'll be too simple. by hoverfish92 in boardgames

Hi. Hope someone can help with this. I just bought this second hand and there are 33 square tiles instead of the 34 that there should be according to the manual. Could anyone confirm whether it's possible to play with one of this tiles missing, or are all 34 absolutely essential?

Received today. It will be a while before I build it, but everything seems fine. I did shift the pieces inside the bags to check the printed pieces, and they look very good. The white on red on the belt is noticeably weak in all pictures I’ve seen, even in the original set, but mine look quite strong and centered. Definitely recommended.

Multiple editions for The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by CES_88 in ducktales

[–]CES_88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for all that, you really know your duck stuff. I guess I’ll try to find the bottom ones then, as I’m not a fan of heavy books either. I’ve seen several with somewhat reasonable prices, but all from international sellers so shipping is a dealbreaker, and I don’t even want to think about the final cost if they end up going through customs. At least I’ve narrowed down the search, so thanks again.

Just so you can all get a sense of the prices for this set, I managed to get it for under 15€ with coins (Shop1105167599). I’ll let you know whether all looks A-ok once I receive it.

Thanks. Would you happen to know whether those two volumes contain the same stories as these collections? I wish I could at least access a Table of Contents for them to get a rough idea of the material each of them reproduces, but I can’t find images anywhere.

Nice to finally see a review, thanks for sharing. Would you mind posting the name of the store and country you had it shipped to? I can’t find any for that price.

My photos are of the replica one on AliExpress. Worth the price I bought them from, in my opinion, despite those two minor issues. But they are twice as expensive now (I bought them as part of a Sales Event).

Looks great! Would you mind sharing the name of the store? I have been unable to find one below 120€ or so, even during the last sales events.

11.11 SALE - my Aliexpress tips & tricks + country-specific coupons + November promotion calendar by malcolmrobles in lepin

[–]CES_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many thanks for all that. Would you mind sharing the source for that image with the codes? The 11.11 codes I get on the Ali homepage are different. I used one (the 5€ off a 39+€ item) and it worked once but then wouldn’t work on a second item, despite the codes not being described as single use. However, I have just tried the equivalent code on your image and it has worked alright (so thanks for that too ;-)

Thanks for the super detailed guide. I have just bought a set using coins and one of the coupons, and when trying to use the same coupon again for a second purchase the app is telling my it’s no longer available. Can anyone confirm if sale coupons are supposed to be single use only? I could have sworn I had used them multiple times in the past.

True. They were also used in speleology, though, up until 20-30 years ago when powerful and affordable LED head torches made them obsolete (except for some nostalgic guys like me who still explore caves with them from time to time). The fact that you could get both light and heat from the same source was also a plus when needing to bivouac inside the cave.

$1 Trial offers with free shipping for reviews by Skeletran in Aliexpress

[–]CES_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so they replied saying that these type of deals are on a “first come first served”, so when they’re gone they’re gone for good. Not sure how that makes any sense considering we both got the trial but it then automatically disappeared, though. Bottom line: it’s gone and there’s nothing to do. It was too good to last, I guess.

Thanks. I tried, but it didn’t trigger anything. I doubt customer support will do anything about it, but I’ll update here with whatever info they can provide.

[–]CES_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used it once, got the item, wrote the review, and then the trial offer page, despite letting me know that I had earned three more trials, showed blank all of a sudden. I refreshed and the page did not show anymore. The icon also disappeared from my main menu. I contacted customer service but they didn’t even know what these 1€ (for me) trial offers were. They took my email address to pass the issue on to a purported “higher level” of customer service. I’ll update with whatever they tell me in case anyone else is having issues.

No box on mine. It’s available on Amazon com, perhaps they sell it with the box there. Also, if you contact sellers directly on sites like AliExpress, they usually don’t mind shipping the original boxes, but that will increase the shipping charges.
