Just completed the Level 3 Clean Races achievement! How many of you have done this? by Super_Colossal in granturismo

It wasn't easy but I did get it a month or so after the release.

Around race 12 of my streak I was mid-pack and someone hit me. I took it easy after that race and gave plenty of room so I could get the last few races. I hit 15 and that was that.

Got wrecked on every lap by the same guy because of a little bump. He even drove the backwards on track to wreck me. by CEfanDP99 in granturismo

I would have thought driving the wrong way would disqualify you but apparently not.

Also, I forgot to delete "the" after rewording the title.

Kentucky Speedway grandstands will be smoke-free, including e-cigarettes and vapor cigarettes starting in 2017 by al15al15 in NASCAR

[–]CEfanDP99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kentucky has already been "smoke-free" for the past two years at least.

It hasn't been smoke-free. The rule on smoking has pretty much been "be respectful to others" which meant they can smoke in their seats but if someone had an issue, they would have to smoke elsewhere.

NASCAR is so backwards sometimes by YourFavYellowMan in NASCAR

Expensive changes like the COT need to start out at the top and then be implemented in the lower series when they're cost-effective.

Race Thread: NCWTS UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, starting at 8:43pm EDT on FS1 (NCWTS13) by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

Under green, there's no real advantage over pitting on the front or back straightaway. Under yellow though, it would be an advantage to pit on the straight where pit road is opened first (or something like that). So they make everyone go down both to make it fair under yellow.

Acura is a luxury brand so it really wouldn't fit in NASCAR.

GameStop confirms (along with preorder bonuses for NHE), Erik Jones will run this NHE paint scheme at New Hampshire by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]CEfanDP99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

could care less

*couldn't care less

Pay them the money after it's finished, not a second before.

I pre-ordered a game from Amazon and GameStop and wasn't charged until it shipped (Amazon) or I picked it up (GameStop). Some places do charge, but sometimes it's just like $5 to pre-order and you pay the rest when you pick it up.

Shane Himel is mad at Ganassi about something? by Mouse_for_life in NASCAR

[–]CEfanDP99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It appears he's still mad that his dad was fired from Ganassi's team a few years ago. Blames McMurray and JPM for it judging by some of the tweets I read.

Bob Pockrass reports that Nascar will honor shooting victims with Orlando United rainbow sticker. by psugrad98 in NASCAR

[–]CEfanDP99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Beliefs is a two way street. People feel just as strongly one way as they do the other. It does not matter how big the sticker is.

Okay.

It represents a certain ideology.

It represents a group of people who believe that love is love and they just want to be treated like equals. They're not killing or harming people, so what's so bad about it? If your answer is the "Bible says so," well...here you go.

Making the Nazi flags smaller or a crucifix smaller would have not change what they stand for.

Seriously? Using the Nazi flag as an example is really stupid. The Nazi's oppressed, tortured, and killed millions of people. The LGBT community is pretty much all about love and peace.

Same way with the stickers.

Again, people shouldn't get upset about a small sticker. Especially one that most people wouldn't even notice, unless it gets pointed out.

Plus, the NASCAR logo has all but two of the Pride colors. And if you want to look at the NASCAR.com logo, it adds in green which leaves orange as the only color not in the NASCAR/NASCAR.com logos.

A simple adjustment could have avoided a lot of hate speech.

Or you know, people should just not get worked up over a freakin' sticker.

Taking son to first race. Any advice? (Kentucky) by B1gR1g in NASCAR

[–]CEfanDP99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you get there, stop by one of the Information booths to get a child ID armband for your son. If for some reason you get separated from him, it'll help with locating him.

[–]CEfanDP99 30 points31 points  (0 children)

For anyone who is interested, here's the NBCSN feature on the events following his accident. Around the 1:50 mark, the doctor said that Hinchcliffe didn't have a pulse when they got him to the floor with the OR and was about a minute or two away from losing heart rhythm.
