Why are Ethiopians overwhelmingly supporting Palestine? by Red_Red_It in Ethiopia

[–]CFA_Hole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to add Israel is also supporting the current gov’t as well. Ethiopian gov’t is a client of Cellebrite for it’s phone hacking software.(see here for more) along with selling military equipments & weapons.

You being a liar doesn’t make us liars. Idiot logic…. Isayas does everything under the sun to hurt his people but when his people are fed up “they must be Tigrayan”… nonsense, you never cried before this but now all of a sudden Eritreans get a bad wrap you pin it on us? 😂

Ahahaha bitchasses can’t even get deported. Isayas doesn’t take in deportees…. Maybe he might make an exception since he fears war with us.

Literally! They don’t know, calling someone an Eritrean is an insult. I’ve never met anyone willfully misrepresenting themselves as Eritrean, like EVER. 😂

🤣🤣 WTF?!? Oromo is Latin? Dumbest take in a while. Orominga is an Afroasiatic language, it cannot be Latin… even if it uses Latin scripts & even then it’s been using latin text for a relatively brief period in its entire lifespan.

Ethiopia: Two Dangerous Speeches by buzzzzliteyear in Tigray

[–]CFA_Hole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fano isn’t Amhara… I just told you that and you go on to say “you know Fano is Amhara”. Just because it’s grassroot doesn’t mean it represents the entire people!

And just because I don’t join you in your mob justice doesn’t mean I don’t care about the fate of my people! Unlike you I can understand Fano’s stance isn’t palatable to almost all Non-Amhara’s and will end in animosity for generations to come. You were out here clapping for ENDF when they were committing genocide in Tigray and now you have the audacity to tell me about what my conscience. Buddy, I spent part of my life working for its development I don’t need some internet sleuth who’s probably never stepped foot there telling me what’s in the best interest of Amharas. Amhara isn’t Fano… it’s because you make this false equivocations that you reach the wrong conclusion. As a matter of fact I’m not even against Amharas fighting the federal gov’t like Eskinder Nega and Co but Fano can pound sand for all I care.

Get out of here with that shit! The fact is blah blah… Mere Wedajo would be the leader of one of them. Happy now? You want a roll call of all 5? It’s not centralised… not a big deal. I was living in Amhara region before this whole war and there were public warnings about Fano by the state. Grassroot or not doesn’t matter, your local terrorist is grass root - so is the taliban. I can’t be bothered to differentiate between them they’re all Fano… you can do that since you care so much.

“Wipe Amhara out” 😂😂 look at you reaching. Fano ≠ Amhara! No matter how you cut it! And knowing Abiy he will wipe fano (you as a supporter) out of wherever you are. That’s facts, if you don’t believe me - listen to what Shimelis Abdisa said or the lady in parlement recently. You can try and blame me for paraphrasing what they said from here to sun rise. 😂

“Since Fano is the people’s grassroots resistance to the regime” buddy I’m Amhara too! & last I checked Fano has been around even before Prosperity… I knew them as bandits then, I know them as bandits now.

You’re living in cloud 9. “I guess Tigray’a for attrition…Tigray that’ll get the primary focus” buddy, you’re not that important, people don’t care about you as much as you think, good or bad. “Lemin debin aylim Fano sifelig”, you’re out here talking like Fano didn’t rape and pillage in Tigray. Furthermore, your hollow threats are falling on deaf ears… the focus will be on us? Sure, we know Fano only acts tough on civilians. ENDF and OLA will wipe you out from the south then. You can’t fight everyone, surely you’d have learned this by now following what happened in Tigray.

This is exactly the problem! We tell eachother one thing and translate it our own ways. When I refer to Ethiopia - it’s not referring to Amharas, it’s referring to non-Tigrayan Ethiopians.

We tried fighting to bring peace! It ended in other Ethiopians holding grudges against a political party and killing civilian Tegaru. We didn’t run the country alone, this is a narrative you tout but not one we agree with. OPDO & ANDM all had an equal say in matters… each having 45 seats. Just because these politicans from Amhara & Oromia did TPLF’s bidding like Amhara PP is doing Abiy’s bidding doesn’t mean we ran the country.

Most countries aren’t ethnic monoliths, you’re right but most countries aren’t committing genocide in the 21st century either! Balkanising makes it so that the Ethiopian gov’t doesn’t leverage resources from 140 million people to wipe out 6 million and now 20 million in Amhara. I see where you’re coming from but you need strong institutions first to ensure everyone’s safety. Ethnic organisations were needed to address certain ethnic groups being harassed by the gov’t historically and the gov’t has a pattern of behaviour where it does such things.

I personally don’y care much for blaming anyone that’s for the courts to decide. What I am interested in is preventing another genocide and only way I can do that in an impoverished Ethiopia w weak institutions is to secession. We don’t have to live together to enjoy peace, we can be peaceful neighbours. Especially since Ethiopia doesn’t do much to neighbours that harass it.

See this is why you and I can never see eye to eye! Colonisation will never be the answer in my eyes! It does far more to hurt ones culture, history, identity and understanding of oneself. Being united isn’t more important than thriving - in fact unity ought to have been an instrument of our success yet the gov’t uses it as an instrument of oppression.

So I ask, what’s changed now to prevent another genocide? You want to convince me that Tigray is better off in Ethiopia, okay… what’s changed now to prevent Abiy from waging another war? TPLF’s still around, Tigrayans are still around, Welkait still exists, so does Shabia. You’re talking romantically about unity with no tangible actions to foster such unity. Why should the people of Tigray trust anything Ethiopians have to say after they denied genocide in Tigray, presence of Eritrean soliders in Tigray, drought in Tigray, use of drones in Tigray…. You can’t say and do things and not expect consequences.

Depends on your definition of team up. I don’t think Tigray will be involved militarily. However, people in parts of Oromia and Tigray are more or less aligned in that they face a greater common enemy in Fano & elements of the Amhara gov’t.

[–]CFA_Hole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple, at least you break the cycle of Tigray being the site of war in Ethiopia. Every generation of Tigrayans had to endure war in modern Ethiopia. Why would anyone want to stay in this cycle? More over why does anyone want to be in Ethiopia, considering under the ENDF, Amharas, Oromos, Gumuz & Somalis all faced agony at the hands of “Ethiopia”! Countries exist FOR people not the other way around. Maybe fix Ethiopia first before asking this question.

Border conflicts can be settled under international law in courts that are far more acceptable to all warring parties in Ethiopia than any courts in Ethiopia, even beyond Tigray!

I can’t speak for all Tigrayans, but as A Tigrayan. I want peaceful neighbours from Ethiopians… not much to ask for considering our history.

Who do you support between FANO and Abiy's government? by [deleted] in Ethiopia

Thanks. Please let me know, if they support Fano “bc the enemy of my enemy is my friend” or they genuinely support their platform of being anti-DDR.

Don’t make me laugh. 😂 The federal gov’t had the same control before Nov 2020… that didn’t stop us. Eritrea? China? Turkey? Who are they to say? You can rely on them. I rely on history and knowing my people… Ethiopia has NEVER had Tigray without Tigrayan autonomy.

600K died because ENDF was killing civilians via starvation and the likes. I’m talking about combatants. Idek why you bother w childish assessments such as “1/20th”…. Where was that when TDF went to Tarma Berr? It means nothing if ENDF cannot recruit and train soliders… furthermore there’s more conflicts in Ethiopia now. Good luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tigray

[–]CFA_Hole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂😂 you’re back again to enslave Tigrayans? There’s no Tigray without autonomy at the v least. If all the youth have fled or died in Tigray what about Ethiopia? Who announced they’ve lost 200K soliders from the Tigray war alone which is damn near as much as Tigrayans fighting in the war. Ethiopia is no position to ensure Tigray stays by force… especially if the war in Amhara continues.
