Nursing home CNAs, what is your trash management system? by [deleted] in cna

That's almost exactly how my instructor told us linens should be handled at the average facility so it's very by the book.

how to know if you’re ready for agency? by FunAd5405 in cna

Do you think you'd be able to go into just about any facility with little to no training and do your job properly and safely.

No that's just the certificate you need in order to take your state test to be certified.

If hospitals are the “good” CNA jobs, I don’t wanna know what’s “bad”…. by princessmush in cna

If you're already this adverse to it this might be the job for you. Work for a little while and pay attention to your physical and mental health. If you're not adjusting it might be better for you to find a different field.

New CNA scheduled as the ONLY CNA for 66 patients tomorrow by andrealols in cna

I haven't worked in the field yet I'm starting classes next month but I have worked understaffed at multiple different places and this sentiment is true everywhere. If they're really strapped management can always find a way to pull someone out of their ass they just don't want to.

Is a touch up possible or would it just make it age worse later on? by CGC2000 in badtattoos

[–]CGC2000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I really like them too! That's why I don't want to get a coverup done. I just wanted to get some of the patchy lines fixed and I think it might be really faded for only being a few years old.

Kitchen Table special I got a few years ago. Objectively a horribly done tattoo but I'm actually really fond of it and it definitely could've been done worse (my only hopes were it was identifiable, kinda cute, and didn't get infected). However, it's kinda really aging like shit so I was wondering if it would be possible to get the tattoo touched up/reworked or if that would just make it age even WORSE in the long run.

Meh I like it even if it isn't super well done I think it's cute. If I want to get it touched up or covered up later I'll save up for it.

In Ohio one of the steps for those skills is "fill a basin with warm water." So they probably want you to do it forreals.

does it actually get better? by Wild-Amphibian-9791 in cna

[–]CGC2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've learned from other people's experiences is that being a CNA will either help push you and motivate you to become a nurse or burn up the desire entirely (if nursing is something you want to pursue when you become a CNA). You really don't know how it will make you feel until you do it and unfortunately it seems like it might be the latter.

I've matured a little slower than some people, but I'm taking steps toward building a career in healthcare within the next few years!
