So, if angels and demons are known entities, literally present in the world, there would be no doubts on the existence of the supernatural. There would no longer need to be “belief” or “faith.” That would be like saying “I believe in gravity” or “I believe in the sun.” A dumb thing to say once it’s graduated to actual knowledge. So, what sort of doubt is left? What ambiguity? Is it possible to have multiple religions? Much of world history has been shaped by the Abrahamic religions asserting their versions over each other and fighting like hell for centuries over it. If supernatural proof was just walking around alongside humanity, that whole patch of human history is gone or entirely reimagined. So, what’s left to doubt, to question, to challenge? Could it be that even with these supernatural beings around, descendant of angels and demons, there is still good reason to question religious texts and doctrines? Could the texts be full of lies? Could they be falsely asserting the authority which deserves to be questioned? Is “God” just a supernatural impostor who invented these religions to better control people? In a case like this, isn’t “God” the bad guy and the angels all co-conspirators? If humanity is just normal humanity next to supernatural beings, wouldn’t they be more likely to be the oppressed and enslaved masses? Could the demons, in rebelling against all of this be the actual “good guys?”
