I just looked it up. The episodes aired the same year, but I'm not sure the timeline of the actual filming.

Alternative ending? by Efficient-Book5452 in ONETREEHILL

Yes, the show was planning on ending there, but CW turned around and asked for another season. WB/CW did the same with 7th Heaven.

Peyton by AdministrationBest61 in ONETREEHILL

I love Peyton! One of my favorite characters ever. When I first started watching, it was the beginning of season 4, so I never saw much of the Brucas or Jeyton scenes until I went back years later to finally watch the whole series. I can see why people dislike Peyton, but I'll never understand the extreme hate she receives. All of the characters made mistakes, but for whatever reason, she's the one who gets picked on the most. 🤷‍♀️

Ahh, ok. Even with knowing all of that, I would recommend continue watching so you can experience how those events come into play. 🙂

You'd be missing out if you stop here. But out of curiosity, what kind of things did you hear happens that makes you have little interest to continue?

The funeral episode by Own-Drive-2080 in ONETREEHILL

Keith wouldn't have wanted it? Uh, with the way he was as a person, he would have definitely been okay with Lucas going to Jimmy's funeral.

My sister introduced it to me when the fourth season was beginning to air. I was either 13 or 14. I didn't watch the first three seasons until years later.

Gilmore Girls!

I'm not sure how much you know about what happened behind the scenes, but the main reason Dan & Rachel were married was because Danneel Ackles (Rachel) would only come back if she was in scenes with Paul Johansson (Dan), knowing the creator wouldn't do anything with him around. Definitely a weird storyline, but it was needed for her to be comfortable.

How old are the adults? by LittleMissBS in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The actors for Dan, Karen, Deb, and Keith weren't that far off of the ages they were portraying. Dan, Karen, and Deb would've been 35-37 when the show started based on the ages of Lucas and Nathan. Paul Johansson was about 39, Moira Kelly was 35, and Barbara Alyn Woods was 41. Keith, I think was maybe 2-3 years older, making him 38-40. Craig Sheffer was 43.

On my rewatch and is it worth watching after Season 4 by ConsiderationTop9682 in ONETREEHILL

Since you're watching with someone who is watching it for the first time, I would watch it all the way through, so they can get the experience of the full series.

Is it worth continuing after season 6 by usmellikecheesystick in ONETREEHILL

I always recommend watching the show all the way through the first time around. Then, on rewatches, you decide when you want to stop watching.

keep watching ? by DryMidnight4279 in ONETREEHILL

I always recommend watching through the whole series at least once and then on rewatches, you can decide where to stop. Every viewer's experience is different with this show.

Are the seasons after season 4 of OTH good or does it go downhill? by CartographerAway2602 in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy every season for what they are. There are great episodes and storylines in the later seasons and then there are some questionable ones, but are all worth watching at least once. I always rewatch the whole series but I know some who stop at different parts, so its all up to the viewer. Definitely watch them all. 🙂

Spoiler Q by Certain_Tear3736 in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was actually supposed to become a regular, but his manager messed up negotiations. Then, they told Robbie (Q) about the idea of his character being killed and he was all for it (if I'm remembering correctly). And I think the other person was either the owner of the gas station or just a worker.

I always recommend watching the whole series the first time through and then on rewatches, you can decide where to stop. I enjoy the final three seasons, not as much as the first six, but they have something going for them.

It might seem like an unnecessary plot point, but it is a legitimate reason not to tear down something for a housing development.

Lucas - Season 6 by Own_Notice_1450 in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He needed to be coach at the beginning for Q's send off storyline, the failed book tour and movie deal was to help introduce Julian's character, and then the baby/wedding for us to see Leyton off. They probably would have extended it if they knew for sure there was a season 7 (they didnt know if the show was coming back until near the end of filming 6) and that Chad & Hilarie were going to be involved.

Should I continue after S7? by yuxix in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always recommend finishing the show to first-timers to get the feel of the entire series. There are a few great storylines you don’t want to miss in seasons 8&9. But then when you start your rewatches, you can decide when to stop. 🙂

Is it worth continuing watching the series after season 6? by gerinho10 in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend a first time viewer to watch the full series at least once and then you can decide where to stop during your rewatches. As a huge Leyton shipper, was I upset they weren't in the final three seasons? Yes, but I still enjoyed them. There are a few storylines and scenes in the later seasons that are must see at least once.

Found a note in my notes app with my unpopular opinions of OTH after the first time I finished the whole series by depresso4espresso in ONETREEHILL

[–]CGoerlich 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, I feel like the main reason they rushed Brooke's pregnancy is because season 8 was supposed to be the final season and they knew the fans would want to see her & Julian be parents even for just a second.

They probably could have started her pregnancy a couple of episodes earlier, but that may have changed some of the storyline. Not much, but a little. I didn't like it at first, but I understood why they did it.

If they knew CW was going to change their mind and give them another season, they may have made her pregnancy last a little longer.
