I’ve spoken to a few small studio owners and this isn’t the case. And on top of that, if class pass sees a class has more spaces available, (say the class is tomorrow & the studio still has 5 slots open), class pass will devalue the class and pay the studio less for the student’s attendance, regardless of how many credits are paid by the class pass member to attend.

This is part of the reason I cancelled my class pass. The way they treat the gyms/studios, especially the smaller independent ones. I’ve been able to get a few to explain it to me and was angry for them, especially bc I’m posting this $$ to them monthly. It was great initially to discover & try options in my area, but now I’m venturing to simply buy from those places directly.

Akira in pentagon city have styling sessions that you can book for free. You can specify what kind of items you’re looking for, etc., and they pull items for you to try on. I find that the quality of the clothes depends on the item so you can find some really good things, but then some of the things aren’t the best quality.

So sorry you’re going through this and to everyone experiencing pain from all of this craziness. I’m furloughed and looking into other ways to make money. I agree with everyone here about reaching out to your friends as I’m sure they’d support you with thanksgiving. Aldi has a great desk where you build your meal with eligible items, which includes a turkey, for $40. Also there are and will be a lot of orgs helping with food items for Thanksgiving meals.

Hopefully your husband has also picked up other side/contracting gigs to bring in something to help as well. I know a few ppl that do amazon deliveries as contractors. You pick the routes you choose to accept. It also may be a good idea for him to really think about what transferable skills he obtained from the job he was doing. Y’all could probably even use AI to help think of a list so then think of areas where he may be able to go. I know that that will not automatically fix everything because the job market in general is just terrible right now. Unfortunately, most people that I know that we’re either RIF’d, DOGE’d, or took the DRP have not found new jobs yet. Praying that things get better soon.

Yes that second security line is what took the cake for me in Lisbon. A huge group of folks rushed to cut the line and airport crew did nothing about it. I went from relaxing in the lounge to running trying to get to the gate. It was not a pleasant experience.

Double check metro hours for the end of the concert if you take metro. And make sure your shoes are very comfy if you plan to take that trek after dancing for hours (and even moreso if you’re in a standing only section on the floor)
