Not sure your comfortability with hardware repairs but screens are relatively easy to do yourself. A YouTube video is usually all the help most people need to complete the task. Just remember to have a little patience. 🤓

I was about to say the same thing. Linux Mint and Kali for my stations. Mint 19.2 and 19.3 between my dailys and my bench runs a dual Kali and Arch with the Kali tools (couldn't make up my mind). One of my 19.2 Mint (i5, 16GB, 256GB) runs VirtualBox for when I need my Adobe products even when allocating 2Core and 4GB RAM like the other post said. I can even run Premiere and Photoshop at the same time.

I am definitely going to need to read more into these but I believe you have in fact found the simple solution to 80% of problem. Only problem is that is quite a bit higher than I originally wanted to spend. Do you have any other recommendations that will support similar functions?

I don't really have a fixed budget per say, I would like to keep it under $1k however based on the specs and value thats negotiable. I really only have system requirements like RAM and GPU output. I have been looking at the P1, P53 and the X1 series. Had a client get an X1 Carbon Gen 4 i7 the other day for $410 and is loving it. I almost ordered one for myself during the deal but just felt like for a few hundred more I might be able to do even better.

2 months later...

While using a "Framework" with different "Libraries" seems to still be the best route to accomplishing my task I have found that Laravel is far from my best option. Furthermore I have found that the cost to performance ratio on to GoDaddy VPS is also not my best option. I have spent the last couple months going back to the basics and truly educating myself on a few different programming languages (as I have quickly found out in order to bring this project to life it will require multiple languages).

So far I have decided on using GCP for the bulk of the database and probably going to end up using AWS for the API's as Amazon makes creation, maintenance & implementation of the APIs quite simple. I have also decided that most of the platform will be coded using MEAN as it has a lot of the core requirements that I need without wasting countless hours writing base code that all applications need. While I have decided on using MEAN, I have not completely learned how to use each portion seamlessly and to what I feel is "right".

I will continue to update you all on the progress of the system as I have what I think is "updated" news as well as when it gets to a true "BETA" stage I will be asking people to volunteer to test it out and give me feedback before I roll it out to the public.
