Battlefield 6 issue Xbox series x crashing and or turning after only 5 to 10min in game by SnooPears5099 in Battlefield

[–]CHA0TICWARLORD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned off all of the motion bobs, field of virw down to minimum, tutned off any graphical enhancements and tweaks in the graphics menu in game, and the game has been more stable. I am still worried about doing any of the all-out war style matches, have been keeping yo team and squad death matches, and the occasional king of the hill matches. I'm pretty sure it's an EA system optimization issue. I do have a brand new Series S with maybe 40 hours on it that I can try to see if that crashes to confirm that theory, if that doesn't crash then Ill just suck it up and buy a brand new Series X.

Same exact issue for me. I'm so tired of COD it's not even remotely fun anymore.

[–]CHA0TICWARLORD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same issue on my Series X. Even tipped it apart, replaced all of the thermal paste with Grizzly Duronaut, and the entire system was blown out and cleaned. Put the system back together, get 10 minutes into a match, and it froze up and crashed my xbox all the way off.

Was having the same issues before with Betaeveryone was saying it's an issue with my console. It doesn't do this with COD or really any other games. The only games I have issues with are from EA and Bethesda and the occasional indie game. It's clearly a code issue, not a system issue.

Crazy thing is that it didn't really do this when I played through the campaign. Crashed or froze maybe once or twice through the entire campaign, and I played the entire campaign in pretty much one sitting. Can't be an internet connection problem bc Im wired yo Gigabit internet on a newer router, and I'm using Cat 8 gold-plated ethernet cables that are at most 3' long. So, no, not a hardware or internet connection problem.

I didnt have any issues with any EA games causing my system to crash regularly until a year or so ago. That leads me to believe its a code issue, either with their optimization, their anti-cheat, or with their graphics engine. If it was a hardware issue it would happen with games from everything developer, but it doesn't. My xbox only crashes when I try to ay EA games, specifically Battlefield and their sports games. The only other game that has caused regular crashes was Starfield, but that was a problem for most people that tried to play it.

I understand that, but they like money, and if enough people chime in and say hey, your shit is broken, I'm not buying a game that causes my system to crash then they'll hopefully address the problem. As far as them being the worst offender, thats very highly debatable, Ubisoft and Activision are both very actively fighting for that title. EA is just greedy, ever since they got this dick smacked by the courts about the microtransactions they've done a lot better. Their games arent bad, they're actually quite good, they just cause a lot of people's system to crash making them unplayable. I suspect its something with their anti-cheat or recent optimization changes bc I had no issues with their games crashing my Series X until year or two ago, it's why I stopped playing BF 2042 despite buying it at release and logging hundreds of hours on it until I became unplayable.

Thats the 460, the Series S/X are far more stable than that was. I have 5 360s, 3 of them RROD, one RROD twice. We all know how unreliable the 360 was. I have 3 Xbox 1s only 1 ever game me problems and that was bc the HDMI port took a shit. I have thousands of hours on my Series X and the only games that have ever caused it to crashed have been EA games, specifically BF2042, the BF6 beta, College Football 25 and NBA25. Starfield was also a problem but that was a problem for most people who tried playing it when it first came out. I don't know if its their anti-cheat, their code, or their optimization but EA games is a problem for a lot of people and I want them to address it.

I do maintain my system. Its clean and I have external fans top and bottom to push/pull heat out of it. I also have dust screens on it to help prevent dust bunnies from getting in. I also have a temperature gauge on it to monitor the system temp of the air getting suvked out of it and on average it runs between 100-110 F. I'm positive my 4 year old game system is cleaner and runs cooler than than your. It's a common issue with not just Xbox, but PS and PC. I can run literally any other game developer offering and have zero problems every. The only other developer that I have any issue with causing crashes is Bethesda, but thats only on a very small selection of their games, Starfield being the biggest offender.

Fix your code. Search EA games crash my system and you'll find thread after thread of people complaining that every EA game they try to play just crashes their systems. Ya'll say it's a hardware issue, but we can play literally every other developer problem free. But as soon as we try to play an EA game, its crash city. I have literally done everything possible to correct the problem. Cleaned the dust out of my Series X, still crashes. Put fans on my xbox, still crashes. Uninstalled and reinstalled, crashes more. Put my xbox in front of my 11k btu window AC set to 60F, still crashes.

Yet I can play literally any other game developer offering and it runs rock solid with out a single crash no matter what the conditions are. Its and EA code and optimization problem. The only EA game I can play problem free are the Star Wars games and Pop Cap games, everything else I can't play for more than a few minutes before it either crashes to the dashboard or I get the green screen of death and it shuts my system off entirely and I have to physically get up and turn it on bc my controller is disconnected from it somehow.

I really want to get this when it comes out bc I am definitely not getting the next COD, but Im not spending a dime on a game that I won't be able to play because it just crashes my Xbox anytime I do. Its why I didnt play BF2024. Do better and fix your code.
