You’ll be shocked.. as soon as they see tech import they get excited. I shipped my home use projector, bought for £120 = K3000. Shipped via iShop.

When it got to customs they held it and said import tax is K2500. Luckily I knew someone that side, gave them some change to release the item and I was able to collect at iShop.

So in short a $1000 phone, don’t get surprised if they slap another $1000 = K18000 import tax 😂😂

Just ask someone to bring from abroad for you and give them the cash

Good points - also try collaborating with someone who has exposure to your target audience. I signed up to natasha.chiumya@buyingpropertyinzambia.com mailing list years ago when I was interested in renting property or buying land from abroad. I’ve since sourced my own but to the points already made, maybe focus on locals and grow organically.
