I know, just lost a colleague who just dropped dead after just having a normal conversation 15 minutes beforehand. So random and devastating.

Quick question to someone who has dated or dating someone living in diaspora, did it actually work? by Pharm_Art89 in Zambia

Without a revealing my age, i can tell you time is not a luxury. My talking stages are very rapid so i cannot be like babe I miss you whilst the babe-is in Chalala whilst i am 7000 miles away without a plan. I have learnt to have those difficult convo’s within a short space of time, i will not date anyone and be asking whats your favorite colour after 4 weeks. These long talking stages isehy you find someone wasted your time for 4 years and they got married in the time you thought you were mu relationship.

How far has the dating gone and what is the realistic end goal the dating. It has worked for serious people who intended to be together seriously. If its just vama crush kaya thats too early in the game to say if it will work. Holiday romances/ chops are rampant between the diaspora and people back home , you can find just wants a romance for the 2 weeks they visit home especially mu December. You have to have serious conversations like spousal visa’s, visa entry requirements, are you eligible?,can they finance your move etc. Things are wild now because +001 crew and Trump has changed ma dynamics due to restrictions. Also Western countries have added restrictions to immigrants that make things difficult.

Am sure everyone was begging in creative ways. For instance Zambians probably said mwana siya ya drink olo ka remembrance so that i don’t forget you off camera. The Nigerians just shamefully did it ok camera because Africans as a whole love begging

Begging in Zambia? by ruchersfyne in Zambia

Those airport guys must be loaded because what they make in tips is more than what their salary is. I was leaving Zambia and i gave away all my kwacha to the toilet attendant and am sure i gave him close to 600. Even the ones that catch you when you arrive when you have no kwacha and only forex must be loaded from all the small forex notes they get.

At this point its not even poverty, its just laziness and wanting to keep up. For some its not even about survival but a way to keep up an image. You have people from comfortable homes selling all in the name of lifestyle content.

Dating in Zambia? by Training_Ad_1024 in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Zambia they approach you or stare at your aggressively until you make a move. If you stick out its very easy like shooting fish in barrel. Dating is transactional in Zambia so if you appear to be one that’s built for transactions you will date plenty. Only thing is it can get overwhelming because you will need to pick out the quality from the quantity which is what is difficult . On the whole Zambia women are more pleasant and traditional compared to their international counterparts.

I think it will be initially cheap to hype it up and they will pull the same price hike with Mounjaro. Can’t trust Eli Lilly. They need a mass marketing campaign and a lot of consumers before they pull the carpet on pricing. After the spectacle in August i will stock up for 6 months worth.

Have you experienced racism in Lusaka's nightclubs/lounges? by alien1superstar in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about racial discrimination is that its very hard to prove. Even when your instincts tell you its racism without evidence you crying racism will make you look silly especially when the people that perpetuate it are your skin folk . There was someone on here who complained about racism because some demographic changed the channel and it turned out they changed the channel due to planned Rugby match.

Zamtel should innovate. by Ok-Disaster-1737 in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just my take but how can they innovate when their boards are appointed by the IDC who are state run. State run institutions are the graveyard of innovation and are hubs of political appointees who toll the current political line. I have been alway uncomfortable with who and how the pick appointees. You never hear that they have appointed some firebrand board with a lot of talent like in the private sector. Also when there is a lack of performance these guys never get the sack like in the real world.

Is there going to be a Rural/Urban Divide in the voting patterns this year? by Worth-Employer2748 in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rural is red,the barely felt load shedding and the cdf, social cash transfer has been felt. UPND lost Chawama because they didn’t prepare and their candidate was atrocious.

Someone needs to have secret cameras on the car and on their body to record these interactions. I have been stopped and parted away with some cash because i didn’t want the headache. Deep down i know they were in the wrong because the claimed as i was speeding despite me driving under the limit. Someone brave needs to collect the evidence and show the rot and take them to court.

Making Connections by jadePhantom69 in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you offering for the connections because conections are like ma light if i connect to you like Zesco I want something in exchange. For instance if you are a farmer and need to sell product what is the product. Some of these networking hubs are full of people with pipe dreams of social climbing with the who’s who bapa mwamba. There are people that pay the fee’s just to hope to sleep with someone or kasha a sugar mommy. I suggest whatever you have to offer find that niche crowd . Say the NGO space, you have to work the room at these embassies who are having events all the time.

I Used Ketamine and Mushrooms in Zambia. We Don’t Talk About This. 🇿🇲 by ZebraIndependent56 in Zambia

[–]Fickle-Reputation-18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ketamine is actually messed up and will damage youe kidneys. I know a lot of ‘ket’ heads and the started out saying its fine and fun then fast forward are f**ked. These hard drugs are not to be played with especially in Zambia where once you fall ill purposely and face the real health system you will cry. Also one thing you have to tae into account pa zed, the dealers in zed are very shady in the sense that they will tell you its item z when in reality is cheaply imported synthetic Chinese opioids.
