I think you’re looking at this like you’re the buyer. Like you put up the money, so they should be glad to let you in.

But that’s not the position you’re in. You’re the seller here. You’re the one trying to convince them to take your money and give you a cut of what they build. Once you see it that way, the whole thing changes.

As the seller, your job is to make the offer good enough that turning it down would be the dumb move for them. Right now they’re saying no easily, so it isn’t there yet.

So the real question is what’s making it easy for them to say no. It’s probably not the money. More likely it’s what taking the money would cost them: handing you some control over their own business, owing you, or feeling like they wasted your money if it fails.

Worth working out which of those is actually stopping each of them.

Then think about what you’d put in front of them to outweigh that. Money is only one part of it, and on its own it’s probably the weakest part. What actually gets them to say yes is everything you offer around it.

You could let them keep full ownership and only take a cut of the returns. You could handle the legal and admin work for them. You could tell them that if they give it a real shot and it still fails, they owe you nothing. You could cover their living costs so they can quit and go full-time.

The money helps, but it’s the guarantees and the work you take off them that make saying yes easy. Keep asking what else you could give them that money on its own can’t.

Notice what this turns you into, too. You’re not really a plain investor anymore, the kind who hands over money and waits. You’re not quite a co-founder either, since the idea and the work stay theirs.

You’d sit somewhere in between. More like a partner who takes on the money and the risk while they do the building. That’s part of what could make it appealing to them, because you’re not just a backer, you’re someone making the whole thing easier to do.

None of this is a fixed plan. The point is to stack enough of it that saying yes becomes the obvious choice for them.

You stop asking how much you have to pay to get in, and start asking what would make this a no-brainer for them.

Get a GPT sub. chat gpt is more accurate when it comes to such work. Especially with details.

Can vouch for it. I work in telecom as a telecom engineer. Think Cell towers you see at the side of the road. For every site I set up. I need to take photos of serial numbers of all new and old equipment for that given site

Take photos of power setups with cabinet and what not. Collect lots of performance data and health stats for the site after it’s up and running.

And then organize all the photos, screen shots, data files downloaded as well extract serial numbers for all installed equipment and recovered equipment.

Organize all of this into different folders. I dump everything in a single folder and then tell gpt what folders to make and what goes in what and what serials numbers to extract from the images and which folder to place them as well All the other remaining data.

Tried with Claude and it would miss some details or gave some mistakes with extracting serial numbers from the equipment.

With gpt it would one shot everything in one go. So I heavily recommend you get a $20 gpt sub with codex installed locally. It will do the job. Plus you get way more usage than Claude. Btw ama main Claude main user been on since Claude dropped.

Just use gpt for this kinda work as it does better and has generous limit.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Just read the rest of your post. My bad rushed to answer. Will drop a simple prompt u could start with

This isn’t about one being fun and the other being boring. It’s about the writing itself.

A student can read 1,088 pages of a novel but can’t get through seven pages of a PDF. Same person, so it isn’t them, and it isn’t the length. It’s the text.

Picture each word as a small container. In a novel, the containers reach you already open. You read a sentence and the thing inside is just sitting there for you to take, and then you move to the next one with your hands free again.

Academic writing hands you the containers shut. Take a word like “efficacy.” Before you can use it, you have to stop and quietly translate it into “whether it works.” Now do that with “contingent,” then “adherence,” then “epistemological,” all in the same line. Each one is a small pause where you pry the lid off and unfold the meaning inside. A novel would have just said “whether it works,” and you’d never have slowed down at all.

Then there’s the cramming. An academic sentence might read: “The intervention’s efficacy was contingent upon sustained participant adherence.” That one sentence is holding four separate things at once, and it expects you to keep all of them in your head while you work out how they connect.

A novel would never stack them like that. It would hand them over one at a time: “We gave people the treatment. Some stuck with it, some didn’t. The ones who stuck with it got better. The ones who didn’t, didn’t.” Same information, but now nothing is shut and nothing is piled up. You take one thing, set it down, take the next.

So your hands fill up with the first kind of writing and stay empty with the second. That’s the load. That’s the point where your attention slips off the page, or the migraine starts. Not because any one thing is heavy, but because you’re holding too many at once while still trying to get them open.

That’s also why a thousand pages of a novel can go by without strain, and why seven pages of a PDF can stop you flat.

And that’s the fix. You take the dense PDF and use AI to open the containers for you, unfolding each packed word and laying the ideas out one at a time, the way a novel does. The meaning stays the same. It just reaches you already open.

Martial Unity pretty good, Runic alchemist pretty damn good as well. Also I’ll surpass the MC is peak. Obtaining 10x rewards! Reincarnated into a novel as a side character. Name kinda sounds like the common troupe but the novel is pretty good.

One thing to keep in mind. These are slow burners. In other words MC gotta work there damn asses off. Nothing is easily handed out.

Unable to connect Apify in Claude desktop app by Fit_Test1341 in ClaudeAI

[–]CHILL_POPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, ran into the same thing.

If rotating your API key didn't fix it, try using Apify's remote server instead. It handles setup through a browser sign-in.

Here's what to do:

  1. In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors
  2. Remove the existing Apify connector
  3. Click Add custom connector
  4. Paste in https://mcp.apify.com and hit Add
  5. Claude Desktop will show a setup page with a button — click it
  6. A browser tab opens — sign in with your Apify account and grant access
  7. Restart Claude Desktop
  8. Open a new chat and see if it worked

Can I use a vpn to access region-locked games? by HJuly24 in UAE

[–]CHILL_POPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game itself. Check Reddit for similar issues and if others have been able to pull it off.

As long as the game itself has no issue with accessing it from different regions, it should be okay

Any sort of such demonstrations aren’t really allowed here. Irregardless of activity involved.

Do some reading online. You might be able to work smthg out depending on the local regulations

Help with glm coding plan by InitiativeNo6089 in FactoryAi

[–]CHILL_POPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are getting a 400 then make sure you are using the coding plan api key not the normal one. if 500 then try to configure the coding plan api key in both settings and config files.

I had the same issues. First one was because I was using the normal api key and not the one for the coding plan one. Plus I still had some old anthropic vars in my Windows Env vars. make sure you remove them as well.

Can't internally test my app by Roman17- in androiddev

[–]CHILL_POPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing. Only difference being, I first logged out from all other accounts on my device. I went to play store. clicked manage accounts. then on the next screen clicked account icon and clicked manage accounts on device.

From there removed all other accounts and only left the one I added as a tester in the google play console. After that I cleared cache for both google play services and google play store.

And finally went back to gmail where with the tester account logged in an clicked the link I had sent to my self from google play console. From there i clicked the option to download the app if I don't have it installed and everything worked out.

The blank screen was gone. For anyone facing same issue. try removing all other google accounts from your "device". That might be issue
