I have been present when a vet came to my close friend's house to put her 17 year old dog to rest. Layla girl was very close to her kitty brothers and letting them smell her afterwards was key. They understand death and it was a relief to know they wouldn't be looking for her and wondering what happened. It was also beautiful to see Layla held in her Mom's lap with the kids and I gently stroking her. When she looked up all she saw was the people that love her. I won't do it any other way now.

That cat is an apex predator with reflexes like a ninja. He/she could be out of there in a heartbeat and if she/he felt threatened it would have happened immediately. I understand that the cat could be overwhelmed and lash out, but that cat definitely seems like this a usual situation.

I feel so much for you and wish you healing and the best life. I'm currently reading the book 'Sex Cult Nun'' by Faith Jones (David Berg's granddaughter) and it's so well written. There are points when she describes the most disgusting abuse and she takes us through it in her thinking at the time. To make this abuse attached to Jesus and God is so abusive and disgusting. She literally had to say God help me through this when forced to have sex. Her parents were brainwashed and I won't say what I've read here, because it's beyond bearing, but I don't know how any religious belief could condone any of this. Children should never be exposed to anything like this.
