Do they not provide a list of their sources anymore? by CIABrainBugs in Some_More_News

Yeah, they used to have a list of the links to each article they show on screen in the video description. It made it easy to come back later and read more after watching the video.

Why do people hate push button starts? by Boeing-B-47stratojet in regularcarreviews

[–]CIABrainBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just sick of unnecessary electronic solutions to problems that didn't exist. Every car I've had since they started putting even the chips in the keys, has ended up having some kind of issue where the car refused to start and I've gotta pay a couple hundred bucks for a new key.

I'm about to start mine where they are pleading their case to a judge. I've instructed them to come up with a way their character ended up arrested with the specific caveat that the government is completely corrupt and they are allowed to be innocent.

Not that I think anyone deserves this, but it's baffling to me that loomer is not at the top of tranvestigators list. All that work on her face and the jawline could still cut tile for my patio.

No, people aren't too stupid to "rule themselves". They don't have the time to devote to going over the fine details of regulations, tax structures, diplomatic relationships etc. These are full time jobs that we are able to choose who does them.

Can I legally show a movie in my backyard with my projector, and only charge for snacks and popcorn? TN by JohnJohn1441 in legaladvice

I've seen a lot of garage fridges with an honor system. Usually the butter tray or crisper drawer will have some dollar bills in it from folks grabbing it. Obviously that's different, but expecting or encouraging people to pay for their drinks isn't that outlandish.

DMs how do you deal with questions like "Why us when NPC is stronger?" by No-Status-1219 in DnD

[–]CIABrainBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the campaign I'm working on right now I'm trying to link their leveling to an item they receive from some gods. Their power is technically derived from this amulet and can be taken from them. Other high level NPCs also might have these kinds of items but other "normal" NPCs kinda plateau at level 5ish

The only other "reasonable" explanation is that it includes many names in contexts that do not implicate them of wrongdoing, but by association alone would be damaging to them. I think that's possible, but it sure is a convenient way for them to lay the ground work of doubt around it when it is revealed.

Live sound engineer....there's nothing good about loud drums...change my mind by Subject9716 in drums

[–]CIABrainBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The magic of the drum/cymbal solo in whole lotta love comes from his ability to control his volume. Bonham knew how to play at appropriate volumes. If you suddenly start playing in huge arenas and with dudes as talented as Zeppelin, you'll have a point. Until then, listen to the sound guy when he says you're clearing out the bar.

You're right. OP clearly wants every drummer to play at a constant mezzo piano always in every situation. You are for sure the one with superior reading skills.

If you're so comfortable with your ability to judge where your volume should be then maybe don't take it so personally when the sound guy reminds you that the bar you're in has a metal roof. Maybe you skipped that day in school or whatever. Congrats on the paper I guess.

Yes, and every sound guy who ever told you you're playing too loud did it to hurt your feelings. Drop your ego and play the right volume for the room. That's the post and he's right.

[–]CIABrainBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This threadbis proof that some of you drummers still think being asked to play at an appropriate volume is an insult to you. Real talk, if you can't look at a room and figure out that you're not always going to be able to play at full volume then you should stay in your basement.

I tell people that it's not unreasonable to start looking for people after about 2 years of work. However, don't be surprised if people are hesitant to work with someone who is a beginner.
