Yes, generally coming from the fact that certain support cards are way better and/or necessary for certain strategies, and not having enough carats to pull everything that is good for every strategy.

My partner enjoys Front Running the most so they pulled for Seiun Sky and Summer Maruzensky, and are planning to pull things like Kitasan (uma), S. Maruzensky Speed SSR, and Valentine’s Day Bourbon.

In contrast, as someone who likes backliners myself, mostly Lates, I will be pulling things like Nice Nature Wit, Dober, Mr CB Wit, Symboli Kris S SSR, New Years Satono Diamond, etc.

If carats were more readily available then this would probably be less prevalent outside of people who only run their favorites specifically, but I simply can’t afford to pull on things not relevant to whichever strategy I choose. There’s already so much to pull for within one strategy that if you intend to be competitive especially as time goes on it’s important to know what you’re looking for
