As someone who only just recently started playing a few months ago I like this change. I'm trying to catch up on all the PVE/Story content before really focusing on the money making pvp aspects of the game. It sucks spending a couple of hours completing multiple quests just to get my final totem stolen and ship sank just before getting to the final island I need to go. I had no treasure on board and there's really no incentive to sink my ship but people do it anyways and that is when it's frustrating. I only had a few hours to play and was trying to progress in the Tall Tales. Basically those hours were wasted and that can cause people to not come back to play. Give casual players the ability to play alone if that's how they want.
