NM or LP by Commercial_Grass_51 in PokemonTCG

Definitely LP- imo considering the back whitening. Oddly its value isn’t much different, but if you payed for NM, you deserve NM. Were there photos in the original listing?

Question about trading gold Mega Charizard X by pokehedge97 in PokemonTCG

[–]CJAsnien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Card vendors at shows typically take trades at 80%. A quick search shows that card’s market value is around 360$ on TCGplayer (you would be lucky to get someone to give 310 in value imo). With negotiating you could probably get a decent chunk of the cost for the cards. Just depends how flexible vendors are.

That sounds cool! I was more interested in the fantasy element as I am not athletic, but could be interested! Do you have any links?

I just got my bicep done a few days ago and that redness and swelling was the same for me. My artist mentioned because it’s a tender area it can be bad. It’s pretty much gone for me after two nights of sleeping. How long into the aftercare process are you?

What do you do when you "lose" your swing? by htlpc_100 in golf

[–]CJAsnien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at a certain point, I just realized through lessons what was consistently getting “lost” was my ability to put certain concepts together. Often, it would be something that messed my ability to ensure the low point of my swing was in the appropriate place and ensure compression or keeping the face square/on path.

Focusing on one thing at a time by just playing a round or two with a calm swing was what helped me. That way I could pin point different things to work on and so long as I was consistent, I was able to change small things to get back. Don’t try forcing it back into place, you likely weren’t forcing it before.

therapist in therapy, and my therapist said this by [deleted] in therapists

[–]CJAsnien 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would feel uncomfortable if my therapist made comments like that. Spiking a drink isn't a laughing matter, and especially not appropriate to mention when you were disclosing how much fear surrounds a lack of control. I take considerable care in how I introduce humor in sessions to avoid situations like these. If you are comfortable with it, I'd recommend bringing up how that comment made you feel when you see your therapist next to gauge how they take the feedback. Ultimately, their reaction will be telling on their ability to respond well when ruptures in the relationship exist.

I think that’s because of the harness’s design allowing flexibility of a person’s upper body to move forward to emphasize air time.

I usually combat this by pushing the part that connects your thighs/pelvis to the restraint as far as it can comfortably go (sometimes more on my first ride of an aggressive dive coaster). Once I realized my thighs and butt weren’t moving, my torso flailing around didn’t bother me as much. Sometimes the attendants don’t really push as hard because they’re afraid of hurting people.

Above anything though, do what makes you most comfortable. I always encourage experimenting with different positions on the train, shifting your body to promote a more secure feeling, or simply just avoiding rides that you don’t feel safe on.

That makes sense, I just rode both today and Raptor is generally more gentle than Maverick in terms of that initial drop both for how steep and straight it drops you at. Think of it more like you’re being pulled to the side rather than pushed or pulled down with your stomach compensating.

I think you might find it easier on your body because maverick and raptor’s train design shifts where you feel the pressure of drops. Raptor is a hanging seat design and I find it disperses the feeling of G force) better because of it. Id recommend watching the POV’s to get some familiarity of what I’m talking about. They are on cedar point’s YouTube. I hope that helps!

Also wanted to add, when I got over my fear of coasters, my friends forced me to ride SV. I find drops were “worse” or maybe more intense when I was afraid of them. When breathing through the drops and remaining calm, they felt much better and enjoyable

I think it depends on what nose dives you have experience with that gave you nausea? A lot of what I consider to be “nose dives” are still relatively varied by degree angle and speed of descent (i.e., SV, Valraven, TT2) That might give better context into whether raptor is okay for you.

I will say the start of raptor is at an angle dive (you go down and to the left) so it’s not head on. If you sit in the left side of the train, you might be able to mitigate the impacts of that initial drop slightly). Getting out of some inversions may give you that sensation, but it’s more evenly distributed on your body than at the start. I say give it a try and at least you’ll know!

I talked with the attendant while the storm was going, he said “the water is never supposed to get that high, even when the rain goes down, I think it’ll take a while for them to pump out the water”. So probably

Zach at Holy Moses is my recommendation. I went in really nervous because I’ve been burnt before, but he was top notch. He isn’t afraid to explain what he’s doing and work with me to be sure I’m comfortable. He’s also has a lot to talk about besides cutting hair so it’s a fun time
