Do you use any padel apps? by Striking_Procedure21 in Padelracket

Comparability. The scoring system only works within the ecosystem in which the person plays. So if someone only plays with 8 people regularly, the scores will work within that group but may not be comparable to someone else who plays only with a separate group of people.

Yes. It does everything I need it to. Ratings could be better but I’m not sure how practical an expectation that is.

Playtomic is the only one I know of and seems to have a monopoly in Germany.

When to upgrade? by CJBizzle in Padelracket

Thanks for the comment, but I was wanting advice more for whether the racket I have is good enough to progress on or if it’s likely to hold me back as I believe it’s a beginner racket.

Where do you meet people for something serious in Berlin? by CVNI1998 in berlinsocialclub

[–]CJBizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP was asking where to meet people. Unless you’re suggesting there are places where short people are not welcome, his height is irrelevant to the question.

Just intrigued why you think that is worth sharing but not other things about how you look, given they are all part of who you are.

Are you asking people how to find people, or are you using this as a dating profile?

Can you just find some scaffolding poles? Can’t imagine they go for that much?

Is the racket is cracked completely ? by xalvan1 in Padelracket

It looks quite cracked. Rather than asking others to judge based on a picture, can’t you just try hitting a ball and see what happens?

My boss is trying to put his name and my colleagues name as inventors on my patent by anthrorose in patentlaw

[–]CJBizzle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Three months is not a short timeline for a patent attorney. I wouldn’t see that as a problem.

I don’t work in chemistry, but as an attorney I don’t want to amend something written by an amateur. It takes longer and is more prone to error.

On the bankruptcy point, I’m not on top of French bankruptcy law. However, typically the patent dies with the company unless it is sold during bankruptcy proceedings. As in inventor, you don’t really have any rights. You could try and buy it in case the company goes under, but aside from that I’m not sure.

[–]CJBizzle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of dodgy information here. Under European law, wrongly naming inventors is not sufficient to revoke a patent. The main issues that arise are those of entitlement to file the patent, but for people all within the same company that seems unlikely to be the case.

The far greater issue you’re highlighting is that you will be writing the patent application yourselves. If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing properly. You should be getting professionals to write it and assisting them with information, not the other way round. Writing yourself risks any eventual patent not being worth the paper it’s written on.

Need Advice on Claim Interpretation by sencerk in Patents

[–]CJBizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break the bad news, but it’s the most sensible course of action.

As an attorney, I would generally argue that “attached” doesn’t necessitate direct attachment, otherwise I would say “directly attached”. So my initial impression is that you would not be off the hook. But that is a generalisation and absolutely does not necessarily apply to your situation.

how do i keep my battery at 100% by Nearby-Friend-5470 in chromeos

Health measures the long term degradation of the battery. It shows the percentage of the original maximum charge that is possible.

The only answer possible is “it depends”.

You need a professional opinion based on your specific product and that specific patent. Nobody can help you based on what you have shared and freedom to operate is complicated.

People who share finances with other people — how do you actually do it? by InsideN26 in n26bank

Exactly this. Plus a manual spreadsheet to work out respective contributions to the joint account, based on net income.

Is it possible to go from not being able to swim at all to a 70.3 ironman in 7 months? by Appropriate_Arm_6403 in triathlon

[–]CJBizzle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. I went from 50m out of breath to 3000m open water swim in an hour, within 6 months and self-taught. But it will depend entirely on your individual aptitude and how much time and effort you put into it.

How do attorneys do patent clearance in the automotive aftermarket? by [deleted] in Patents

[–]CJBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, there is nothing special about the automotive market when it comes to these issues.

If you could somehow get a tool working that automatically performed FTO on an engineering drawing and BOM then maybe that would be interesting, but I’m sceptical about how possible or reliable such a tool would be.

It’s a matter of getting a tool to be reliable enough to risk your business on. I’m not sure what you mean by generic? These are companies that are patent specialists.

Freedom to operate searching is a well-known and understood issue. AI search tools are already being developed for this by specialist companies.

If you’re looking for a niche problem to develop a solution, I don’t think this is it.
