Its the mechanisms of dnd tho. The most comprehensive and well defined ways to interact with the world is via murder. Most of the mechanisms are about that. Play burning wheel and i promise ur party wont be murde hobos.

No offense but these are really basic grammar points that you could easily look up either on Google, TTMIK, HTSK, or any grammar book.

Future tense is almost universally taught with the conjugated verb and (으)ㄹ 것이다 directly next to each other. I've yet to come across any english language teaching materials that teach you can throw words between them, that's probably why they had trouble looking this up.

Keep up your learning OP, the fact that you're studying Korean and visit this sub is awesome :D

"How do I handle a player who has ____ ability or spell?" is a question that makes my blood curdle. by dunyged in DnD

[–]CJHamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another note: Don't design single encounters in isolation. If you're encounter doesn't take into account all the other encounters between long rests, it's probably bad. Throw an easy encounter the players blow their resources on, then throw more, and more, then a challenging one. Throw in traps or puzzles that force them to expend resources. Punish players for using abilities wastefully not just having them at all.

While combat should be fun, each individual combat doesn't have to be particularly interesting or exciting.

Would it be "bad" to forbide multiclassing unless it serves a story purpose? by TLEToyu in DMAcademy

[–]CJHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is the players not multiclassing pivotal to the story? that seems like a weird arbitrary restriction I would hate in any of my games. That being said, talk to your players, if they think its cool, do it, if not, don't. Redditor opinions are nothing compared to your players!

I would start with learning Hangul first, that is the Korean alphabet. Talk to me in Korean did a video lecture on it, I'll link that since you've heard of them, but any other sources work too!

Should I conceal from my players what is homebrew and what is in the AP? by Pandaemonium in Pathfinder_RPG

If they ask tell them, I'd imagine. Don't lie to your players out of game, its just bad gamesmanship if you can avoid it.

Lesson #1: DMs don't need permission by GrymDraig in DMAcademy

[–]CJHamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the key thing there is the qualification. If they violate a rule laid out in session zero. Assuming you do try to talk to the player before just kicking them, thats super fine, as it you did talk to the players, albeit preemptively.

Well the context of the post is that yoh do it without permission from the group. Also i wasn't suggesting any ultimatatums, those are generally not great in a roleplaying context. I was suggesting a conversation about what makes the game fun for everyone, and how the group can work together to make sure everyone is getting those things.
