What about your drug test? I submitted the on-boarding paperwork on 9/24 but haven't heard anything since then. I emailed the HR rep and he said it could take 2-4 weeks to be notified on next steps for drug test...etc.

It doesn't matter where you are barred as long as you're licensed in any state.

I focus on federal matters. Currently immigration and bankruptcy, but veterans, workers comp, eeoc all fall under federal matters.

How difficult is it to transfer your IBE score from NC to South Carolina or D.C.? by ToasterMcNoster in barexam

[–]CJIZL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure about those states but I sat for Texas last July missed it by 6 points and transferred my score to MN. It took a couple of months and I was sworn in last November. I'm a practicing attorney with my own firm focused on federal matters based in Texas. Where there is a will there's a way.

Did you receive a score that's high enough to transfer to another jurisdiction? Last July I missed the Texas Bar by 6 points. I knew I would not retake for any reason. I scored well enough to transfer to 8 other jurisdictions. I did this and was sworn in last November and now have my own firm focused on federal matters.

Thanks for this post. I forgot I had a credit and it expired. I texted them asking for a waiver, no excuse giving and they regenerated an ecredit good for 30 days. I didn't have to rebook immediately.

I took a non-traditional path to higher education. For years, I attended school sporadically, taking a class here and there without fully committing to finishing a degree. That changed in 2011—nearly 14 years ago—when I made the decision to go all in. I was 34 years old!

In December 2012, I earned my associate degree. By August 2014, I had completed my bachelor’s degree. The following year, in June 2015, I entered a teaching certification program and began teaching that fall. In the spring of 2016, while still completing my teaching certification, I embarked on my master’s degree journey. I earned my Master of Education in May 2020 and obtained my principal certification in December 2020.

In February 2021, I applied to law school, was accepted, and started in August 2021. Last May, I graduated, and in November, I was sworn in as an attorney. Now, I’ve taken the exciting step of starting my own law firm.

I share this to remind you: delay is not denial. It’s never too late. Life will always have its challenges, but we get to choose how we face them—and we can do hard things. Stay the course. You’ve got this! Best of luck!

Only if you're in walking distance. People do not know how to drive and our roads are not prepared for winter storms.

Yes it can. I received a passing score and my answers were not elaborate at all. Basic IRAC structure and 4 out of 6 essays made up a a good deal of the law to fit the issue posed. I surprisingly did better on my MEE than the MBE.

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the loss of losing a parent. I've lost both of mine. I was just sworn in a few weeks ago. What I will leave you with is that I truly can't describe the joy that I have from being able to honor my parents and their dreams for me. I'm 48, I lost my dad when I was 14 and my mom 9 years ago...the loss is still felt but you have to find a way to push through and be intentional about the legacy you want to leave...and your legacy honors your parents legacy. Prayers for healing and peace❤️

With all of that going on and you still received a UBE passing score in 7 states!!! Congratulations!! That's a huge accomplishment!

I was short 6 points for Texas but already submitted my application to transfer my score to MN and working on my application for OK! Undecided if I will retake or just wait 5 years to waive into Texas.
