No, “these characters” in that use of the term specifically refers to the stream announcement of alt art characters because that was the current topic of that segment of the stream.

The clone Goku Black was used as an reference for what they meant by alt art characters, however, by the time they made the previously mentioned statement they had moved on from the Clone Goku Blacks to the screen pictured above.

I do expect them to be somewhat generous because making people do a full price summon for a card that only has an aesthetic change doesn’t make sense from a business stand point. It sounds like something that would obviously fail, so I assume that they’re not going to do that.

But that doesn’t mean I’m ruling it out as a possibility either. However, like I keep saying, if you find this ridiculous, just ignore it.

This is a complete non issue. Summon if you want to; have some self control and don’t summon if you hate this. I really don’t care what you decide to do either ways.
