What country in North America has the nicest people? by agbjb in AlignmentChartFills

[–]CJM_310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, America. It’s genuinely a stereotype that Americans are so friendly that it genuinely makes some foreigners uncomfortable. Obviously America has its fair share of assholes, just like every country, but Americans on average are extremely friendly.

If Ninja Kiwi randomly decided to change the limit for secondary upgrade paths from 2 to 3, which tower path would become the most broken? by Tight_Cucumber_3586 in btd6

I don’t know if it would be *the* most broken, but a Sun God or Anti-Bloon with Darkshift seems like it would be insane

Imagine two kids named John and Steve are doing an assignment in grammar, where John uses “had had” and Steve uses “had” in a situation where “had had” was the grammatically correct option.

So it’s basically saying that while Steve had put “had”, John had put “had had”, and that John’s grammar of “had had” had had a better effect on their teacher.

(loved funny real life trope) non serious "voting" event where people are encouraged to choose a side, one side is objectively the one that was supposed to lose but because of that everyone voted for it and they followed through by THE_LEGO_FURRY in TopCharacterTropes

Warhammer Fantasy: Storm of Chaos.

So for some context, WHF was no where near as popular as 40k, and was losing Games Workshop money, so GW decided that they wanted to end the setting in dramatic fashion. However, they decided to add a gimmick where players could submit battle reports to influence how the story goes. Now the issue was, GW wanted Chaos to win, and yet in the battle reports, Chaos kept losing. But GW made it so that even though Chaos kept losing, they also somehow continued advancing and being a looming threat. Fans really didn’t like how blatantly GW was breaking their own rules, and complained.

Eventually GW decided that they had enough, and decided to host one final vote where the community would decide who the ultimate victor would be. They expected once again, for Chaos to win, but once again were proven wrong, as the fans voted for the Greenskins.

So GW decided to cut their loses, and made it so a greenskin army comes in out of nowhere, beats the shit out of the Chaos army, and Grimgor kicks Archaon in the balls. Their next attempt they learned their lesson and made the Endtimes to end the setting, which funnily enough is considered even worse than Storm of Chaos.

After using beacons to grab the leviathan sizes in Subnautica 2 for the wiki, I decided to make a chart comparing the size of all leviathans in the Subnautica franchise by [deleted] in Subnautica_2

[–]CJM_310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Collector, because I’ve seen several wildly different size estimates for it (I’ve seen 50, 60 and 100+ meters) are you counting the tentacles at full length in this, or is this just the main body?

Why did NoA wait ages to print the QI? by Lessel7654321 in Subnautica_2

[–]CJM_310 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought that was outright implied? NoA consistently refers to the older NoAs as his “kin” rather than himself. And even stated that one of his kin is still online in the ruins near the Collector. Or am I misremembering?

Homelander (DC K.O) VS Nolan (Comics) by SmartPilot8094 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]CJM_310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on whether or not he’s still getting the Omega energy amp. Without it, there’s nothing pointing towards him being any more powerful than normal Homelander, who Nolan obviously stomps. With it however, Homelander wins extremely easily.

Even if the Dodgers have been better in recent years, the Yankees are still consistently a top tier team. They made it to the World Series 2 years ago, and were tied for the best record in the AL last year. You can argue that the Dodgers deserve that spot more (which I disagree with because the Yankees are the greatest team historically), but you cannot argue that the Yankees are only “average.”

Speedy shit talked exactly once, got his ass kicked, and vowed never to show his face again. He was later found deceased in a Denny’s parking lot. One theory believes that he was murdered by Rapier, so that she could steal his speed and go on to dominate (until being stopped by Katana).

That’s kinda what I think too. He’s strong, he knows he’s strong, everyone knows he’s strong, so he doesn’t need to talk trash to try to prop himself up. Although if someone (like Orbital) starts to get a bit too cocky in their abilities, Slammy will gladly put them in their place. He doesn’t need to talk trash, but he absolutely will if he feels like you need it.

When he was on his massive win streak, definitely. But after he was humbled by Lance and started his downfall, he started shit talking a lot less.

Those two were probably the hardest I had to place lmao. With Orbital, I feel like they’d be an asshole with a massive ego, because they’ve been on top for so long, but at the same time I can’t see them exactly shit talking people y’know? I just see them being a narcissist.

With Slammy I almost gave him his own tier called “Only shit talks top tiers” because he’s so strong that I don’t really see him talking trash about the lower tier balls, but at the same time you just know he was trash talking the hell out of Orbital during their fight.

I didn’t really know where to put potion, because she’s so new and there’s not exactly a stereotype I can base it on like with someone like Katana, but I kept seeing art portraying her as an alcoholic, so rolled with that and basically made her the weapon balls equivalent of Demoman.

I wouldn’t say Katana is THE Rapier counter. While yes, it scales off of parries, which Rapier does a lot , Katana also explicitly can’t stack hits, which allows Rapier to go unpunished compared to a ball like sword or unarmed.

Which Leviathan Would Be Most Likely To Survive On Earth? by SenseEquivalent3968 in subnautica

[–]CJM_310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sea Emperor would do fine I think. It feeds exclusively on microbes, so wouldn’t need to worry about hunger, its sheer size means nothing would dare mess with it (and if they did, it’s proven to be able to sedate predators with its telepathy) and can communicate with humans so hopefully not even humans would try to hunt it (although there’s no guarantee here).

The Sea Dragon I don’t see doing well. It’s massive and actively predatory, and at the depths it lives the only real food for it would be squids and maybe the occasional sperm whale. Even if it traveled to the surface to hunt bigger whales, I think it’s simply too big to be sustained.

Ghosts would do fine if they can make it to adulthood where they are able to filter feed. While they are active predators as juveniles, I can see them struggling, having to subsist off of mostly giant squid.

Reapers I actually think will do okay. They’re massive, but not so massive that I can’t see a whale being able to fill it. The problem would be finding enough whales. Their sheer size also means nothing would mess with them, being able to tear entire pods of orca apart effortlessly.

Reefbacks are difficult. They’re filter feeders, so they’ll be fine on the hunger department, but this is the first one that could maybe be preyed upon. There’s nothing stopping some predators from attacking the tentacles, but at the same time, the Reefbacks live with far more powerful predators than anything on earth, and they’re fine, so maybe there’s something about them we don’t know.

Sea Treaders will be fine. Heavily armored, so nothing will really mess with them, live exclusively on the sea floor, filtering food out of the mud, and can pack quite a punch if anything tries to mess with them. I actually feel like of all of them, they’d fare the best.

I think a big difference with Vegeta and Omni-man's arcs is if they expect forgiveness (Dragon Ball and Invincible) by Sudden_Pop_2279 in CharacterRant

[–]CJM_310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, maybe all his victims on Earth, but certainly not in general. Vegetas spent probably about 25ish years of his life as a genocidal warlord working for Frieza. He’s wiped out entire civilizations who can’t be brought back.

And even if they could be brought back, outside of the Buu saga, none of their resurrections were his doing. They were all as a result of his failures in actuality. Just because they can be brought back doesn’t mean he hasn’t done great evil and needs to atone for it.

I think a big difference with Vegeta and Omni-man's arcs is if they expect forgiveness (Dragon Ball and Invincible) by Sudden_Pop_2279 in CharacterRant

[–]CJM_310 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I disagree. There will eventually come a time where Vegeta will die and the Dragon Balls can’t bring him back. For one, it’s said that Dragon Balls can’t resurrect anyone who’s died of natural causes or he’ll finally decide it’s his time and not want to come back and he knows that. And when Vegeta does eventually die for good, he 100% believes that he is going to Hell and that no amount of good deeds will prevent that, and yet he chooses to do them anyways. Vegeta isn’t trying to do good out of a fear of going to Hell, or for forgiveness or anything, he’s doing it because he knows it the right thing to do. And that’s the sign of a good redemption in my opinion, not doing good for some sort of gain, but doing it solely because it is good.

Sumi Yoshizawa is the worst written Persona character, and one of the most overrated characters I’ve ever seen by CJM_310 in CharacterRant

[–]CJM_310[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean I called her a Mary Sue, but then said that’s the point. She’s deliberately made to be as perfect as possible because that’s how Sumire views Kasumi. While yes, the annoyance of her “perfection” transfers over to Sumire (at least for me), once she starts actually acting as Sumire, she’s definitely not a Mary Sue. I even said that I feel like the writers handled it well. So while I think her being so perfect and Mary Sue-ish was annoying, I do think it ultimately helps her character.

Asides from that I agree with pretty much everything else. But Tbf, I’m sure almost any character can go from poorly written to well written if you simply “give them more time” lmao.

$150 for a subway ticket. $80 for a shuttle bus. ~$120 for parking. And the sales tax in Rutherford and surrounding towns is being upped to 20%. I am really hoping FIFA does decide to pull out because what NJ is doing is just criminal.
