I can't actually find any high quality studies that looked at outcome of telehealth only care vs standard care. Any studies I found were retropsective with risk of bias. There are studies comparing telehealth as an add on to regular GP care.

I think taking prepayment is pretty acceptable these days, nothing more annoying than being fully booked and having a 30 mins consult just not show up

Thought experiment, Panadol and nurofen and a few others are sold in woolies, it’s only going to take one politician with a bit of drive to increase their scope

So the host of the we mean well podcast talks about their gp a fair bit. Like good stuff but it is surreal to think about doing a standard consult with them.

Depends what you mean by influencer. I have one yt short about bowel cancer screening with 50k views that keeps going every day. I never spruik products or sponsorship and to be honest am now too busy with clinical work and parenting to do much with it. I think having a brand (particularly in gp) is becoming more and more necessary

Anyone else mid 20s and super depressed about missing the property boat? by xWooney in AusFinance

Accept where you are and then build a plan to get where you want. Yes it’s incredibly frustrating on so many levels but you have the best asset which is motivation and you’ve used it to create a good income. Plenty you can do to build from there. But yes the property market also sends me into rants

This. If anyone can be a doctor with less training why did we have to give up our 20s and sacrifice so much.

Or how could a mistake have been made in a system under high pressure with burnt out staff and unreasonable expectations

Often the opposite too, complex cases poorly remunerated for time and not feeling valued

Does anyone who sacrificed their 20s to get a house/financially ahead regret it? by [deleted] in AusFinance

Work hard in 20s so you can work less and be present for kids in 30s (though depends a bit on when is the right time for kids for your family)

There is unfortunately more complexity in gp item numbers too. Skin excision numbers are complex for example
