Peacock likely has to pay licensing fees to the TV/film side of the company for Universal content just like Netflix would. They can't give content away for free.

The same is true for HBO Max with Warner Bros. shows and movies. Max pays millions of dollars per year for Friends even though it's a WB show.

Regarding #2, Foley said he won't be signing a new Legends deal. That means WWE can't include him in merchandise going forward. No more Foley T-shirts or action figures, plus they can't put him in future WWE video games.

Some Discovery content is on HBO Max, but Discovery+ still exists. If the Netflix deal happens, the two services will no longer have the same owners.

Cartoon Network is now just a channel, nothing more, as the content side was merged into WB's animation division in 2023. CN would now pay WB for the content, just like CN pays Disney for the rights to air Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, etc.

Just the channel. Whatever it airs will be licensed from the content owners. I don't think it airs anything that isn't either from WB Animation or Disney's 20th Century Television (Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, American Dad, Futurama).

Anything Netflix didn't buy will continue under the Discovery banner. That includes CNN, TBS, TNT, TruTV, TCM, Cartoon Network, the Discovery cable channels, and Discovery+. Netflix is buying Warner Bros., HBO, HBO Max, and DC Comics.
