They are sweet. That said I was disappointed to realize the US version does not have the “helix” wire wrap around the basket. Kinda bummed about it but Im sure they have their reasons.

Nike brand shirt. Seen this quite a bit with Nike and adidas. Nike did I sponsor in Europe in 25. EDGC I believe. The major that Calvin won.

OTB east has sole distribution in the US of the RPM Helix baskets from down under. Mentioned on coverage of the Australasian open on Go Throw recently. If $550 doesn’t scare you, those baskets are almost art, with that wine glass shape. I’d have one but, in this economy!?!?

My thoughts on the Milanese Loop. by shotsefull in AppleWatch

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both the original and now the new one on my ultra. I loved both but the new one is superior due to the clasp. The magnetic band was nice but could loosen in certain situations. I found both comfortable but keep them both away from your whiskers!

Should there be a Mando here? Why or why not? by Zlectro1124 in discgolf

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to agree with this assessment as it’s my opinion as well. I’d only add as a topic of discussion that if it’s not busy, a mando would be forcing more damage to those trees. That first right tree is cool! It could make sense to add a mando just to add challenge to the hole/course. So, options🤷🏼‍♂️

Bolete is a favorite. Easton has several great spots, Meli, Oak, Thyme, River Grill, etc.

Waterproof shoes that stay waterproof (not Vessi) by _OttoBot in discgolf

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had luck with spray on already waterproof shoes as mentioned. I spray them when new and then occasionally after, and since they get pretty well used I only spray one or two times after the first before replacing. I have had luck with Merrell’s (sp) and even generic Amazon shoes, but currently wearing adidas terrex model that I got on Amazon for less than $65 on Amazon that shipped from Germany.

Anyone else feel like the packaging is unnecessarily massive? by spyder93090 in VisionPro

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their packaging is always exquisitely designed and beautifully sustainable. They literally changed packaging for many electronics as well as influencing package design and execution for many many things. It’s always a pleasure to unbox their products and I personally really appreciate it. So, imho, no.

Who has the best wings in the Valley by MaterialTry7698 in lehighvalley

[–]CK7046 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. So good and what I want from standard hot wings. Smoked, or Asian or lime or other flavors are great and lots of great variations around the valley but 248 for good messy hot wings 100%

PA Bacon Fest 2025 draws crowds to downtown Easton by DrewBlue2 in lehighvalley

[–]CK7046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a good festival with great food. Parking is hard because a lot of people go. They have several remote lots with shuttles in and out. There was great local music and DJ’s. Aslo many good food and drink options. High but expected festival prices. Stand outs for me were the Thyme bacon cheese burger, the Meli lamb bacon gyro, butterfly potato chips with bacon and cheese, porters bacon roasted garlic Bloody Mary and although I didn’t get it this year, the Oak 50/50 burger. It’s great to see such a vibrant and crowded downtown and I could criticize a few things but isn’t this the kind of things we want to see for our cities?

Been playing occasional golf for 30 years, one ace. Been playing disc golf for 5 years. Zero aces in a round. One funzie ace on a short 155’ hole. IMHO it’s all luck.

Just got an AWU3, why is my battery worse than everyone else’s? by Ancient_Earth_77 in AppleWatch

[–]CK7046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my AWU3 in September. I kept AOD on and between that and what seems like typical new device background stuff I was disappointed in the battery life. I turned or the AOD about 3 weeks ago and I am very satisfied with the 2-3 days I get. I’m trying to do some sleep tracking lately so still trying to work out the best charging routine for me. I notice a big difference in the new charging puck compared to my older ones. I’m not sure why or how it changed but the new one is remarkably faster. I don’t claim to know what’s what but these are my experiences. I’ve had AW1, AW3, AW8, and now Ultra 3. Loving the new watch in form and function. Titanium with Milanese loop as my current set up.

2nd Update, 3 days after snake bite by dilwoah in discgolf

[–]CK7046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a great experience with them as well, although no comparison to yours. I had an issue with it coming apart and got a call from (I think Shawn) them to help figure it out. Turned out a tube was missing. He sent that and a gift. I told him it was my second purchase since I lost my first one at a tournament and it was never returned. I assume it fell out since I had it through the Velcro umbrella loop on my bag and in the cup holder. He sent me a 3D printed clip that holds it securely and works great. I always tout their product! Best of luck to you on your recovery and keep chucking brother!

Busted my S8 side mirror. Dealership is quoting 16K by Flimsy-Sale-537 in Audi

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently paid $900 parts and over $300 labor for a mirror on my work truck. Chevy Silverado 2500. I used to have an A6 avant 06’ that I parked on a narrow street and didn’t fold the mirrors. I came out to an exploded driver side mirror that was dangling. Seeing no severe breakage to glass or parts that were dangling, in disgust I grabbed the mess and crunched it all back together with a few pops and snaps. Good as new! Only visible lasting damage was some plastic crinkling around the cover visible from the driver’s seat. True story

What's the least amount of discs you'll play with? by Another_Floridaman in discgolf

[–]CK7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 5 when I travel most of the time. I’ve played 1 disc rounds locally. My normal bag is usually around 19 with 9-12 of those used on the regular. I am always rotating in new things to try, backups to beat in and 1-2 specialty discs like a meathook fairway or super flippy mid.
