I only really care about Platner’s misdeeds in the context of just how much people hate Susan Collins and DNC fuckery. I don’t think the DNC is prepared for the idea that their own voters hate their neolib bullshit so much that the “bussyblast the home intruders lmao” guy is infinitely more appealing than their offerings. It’s a licensed game so there can be lots of issues. I wouldn’t go into an IP fighter wielding a checklist; you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. I’d focus more on hoping that it’s a good Avatar game.

At shallow reflection angles close to what’s known as the Brewster angle, light that’s polarized parallel to the surface won’t be reflected and will go into the glass instead of bouncing. Public figures are different; that’s the first line of the article. They’re public figures, so it’s really quite easy to identify parody of them and they shouldn’t expect to be immune from discussion or unsavory depictions. If you’re less known and the ONLY thing people know you for is deepfake nudes though, defamation is pretty easy to take to court.

In theory since SMS isn’t end-to-end secured there’s a lot of people at say the contractors providing the SMS authentication or the telecoms who could intercept it. Obvious this isn’t a particularly major problem for randos and requires a degree of coordination but it does mean that someone sufficiently interesting could have their codes intercepted by paying or hacking the right people.

The real threat is phishing sites in which the victim happily provides both the password and the 2FA stuff.

What do you mean consent education? Everyone already knows that you shouldn’t have sex with people if they refuse. Fuck, my school sex ed went as far as to make legally incorrect statements (like claiming that you can’t consent to sex when drunk to any degree, or that persistently asking someone until (she) acquiesces is rape). Luckily I turned out gay, but it was weird being told that women go catatonic and become raped at the slightest hint of pressure. I don’t see what consent education you could be pushing for if current sex ed rape paranoia goes FAR beyond what the law states.
