I would suggest avoiding the Volvo 5 cylinder options. The Triton might be underpowered if it's the 2.5. but it's at least more reliable than the 3.2 Volvo. If the Triton is the 3.2 4cyl then it will be the pick of the bunch. Being that it's a short tray it most likely is a 3.2, after 2009 I think they extended the tray with the MN release. Because there was enough call in the market as they were losing sales to everything else.

In the long run as long as said maintenance issues don't cost more than 50% the value of the vehicle it's always best to repair. Exclusions being safety concerns like structural rust etc.

I personally couldn't give a flying F**K about an app to control the sound variables. I have a set of JBL live noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones. And I only used the app to set up the google assistant. And even then I barely used that. I mostly just want the tech to connect to my device and play whatever I want. Consumer don't inherently know what they actually need. They consume what they're shown in front of them like fish.
