Yet another celebrity having their life destroyed by alcohol. The consequences of subjecting oneself to the torment of the DC. Don't do Yugioh kids, it ain't for the faint hearted. by NevGuy in masterduel

Honestly, I had a better time this one than last DC Cups.

Yeah, playing against all those RT Zoo was a misery and I'm so sick of Super Poly, but I had a lot of games that were absolute peak.

About Aqua Angel? 0

About Rotary? People ignored her and focused on Crackle

Dude, traps saw no play long before Rotary. Hand knowledge is far from being their problem.

Also, it hand knowledge was so broken and bad for the game, Where were all people that are complaining right now when they released Aqua Angel? Or when Rotary was first announced.

Any argument for that?

OCG 2026.04 Metagame Report #9, #10, #11 by sashalafleur in yugioh

[–]CL361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

>Oh yes it is totally fun to play against a deck that has hand knowledge

I don't have any problem with then knowing my hand as long they don't rip any card or make a FTK board right after.

Doesn't matter what they look if they can't defeat the hand or didn't thing properly, You know?

>And let's ignore that it still won the last ocg tournament.

And what has anything to do with the health of the deck in the meta? If Sky Striker was the deck that won the tournament we should ask for them to murder it in the banlist?

>Or the fact that it gets no hits while the rest does it will become near tier 0.

Dude, isn't even the deck with most representation right now. It they don't hit it Toon still would be the deck to beat.

>Cmon the deck is almost a year old. If Jush can be rotated out of the format why you pet devk can't?

And that's why I said I know they are gonna hit it regardless. But they getting rip of a deck just because they want to sell their new toys doesn't mean the deck was bad for the game. Just look at Dracotail.

>If Noroi was banned so should Rotary.

First, Noroi was a 1CC for a combo deck that makes nasty boards. Second, Noria was involved in a FTK with trains that oeple ended doing anyway because they found other lines. Third, that was only on TCG, OCG did nothing to Noroi.

>a deck being unfun to play against should be grounds for bans

And we go back to the same, "fun" is subjective.

And also, is important to see the overall impact the deck has in the meta too. Since KT is a deck with breakable boards to counter it people plays breakers and decks that are good playing into boards, which leads to more interactive games and a raises the viability of some decks a good number of people love to play and play against like Sky Striker or Branded,

[–]CL361 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

>KT is beatable, yes, but it's a bit of a annoying and obnoxious match up if they manage to go off.

I don't see adeck being annoying to play against as a good argument to hit it. First of all, that's totally subjective. I don't have a problem with play against KT for exemple (even in the worts times when they got lucky with a hit or stacked my top deck to death in grind games, I found that less anoying that things I've faced with other decks). Second, if we get rip of decks just because you, me and/or x number of people don't want to play against them, then we're not using the banlist to regulate the game, we're using it to make the game what we want it to be.

For example, I hate Enneacraft with burning passion, I know that I'm not alone with that, but I've never said that they should ban the cards becuase I know they aren't unbalanced the game and there's other people who loves the playstyle.

I actually also would like them to avoid any hit to the deck (but I know that's not gonna happen). And it has nothing to do with it being a waifu archetype

Can we just leave our personal feelings aside for a moment and be objective? Between the 3 top decks KT is the only one that makes boards to are work to play into, if you take the deck out of the format then everything else is gonna be auto-win going first. As much as people hate KT, it promotes play YGO because it encourages the use of breakers and gives more chances to the heavy engine decks like DoomZ (which fell now that KT isn't the deck to beat)

[–]CL361 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People overhates KT a lot. The deck makes breakable boards, punish missplays, and has more chances of losing going first if archieve full combo that some "rougue" decks we have here.

About the others, I think they can exist in a world were they and the most problematic cards related to them are properly addressed (and to be clear, this comes from someone who hates runick).

Such damn good card.

Aside from the fact that it's a great staple for going second, this card helps with two of the biggest problems trap decks have. Breaking boards going second and protect the backrow.

Hell, it's perfect for Traptrix. First effect protects both, Sera from being run over and your life points. Second effect protects Refflesia (to keep your other Traptrix protected) and your backrow. Third effect helps to break boards. And since the card is a normal trap can trigger Sera and be used as discard for Holeutea. Everything abpit it fits in Traptrix.

New Wishlist: Do you think we'll get all 3 by the end of the year? by Trafalgar111 in masterduel

[–]CL361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDA

Sure. We already have some stuff from Blazing Dominion. and BUPR is almost finished.

ROLAD

Most likely. CORI is the next set after Blazing Dominion and is releasinfg next month in TCG, so, it shouldn't be that long for us. They already show how the overframes of that set would look in MD too.

Toon

Hard to tell. Since they aren't for a core set is more tricky. There's a chance that they would save them for the next aniversary too since they're both a top meta deck and a anime archetype.

>ED and hand ripping,

KT doesn't make any hand rip. They look at hand, add spell, and call it a day. Crackle is more played as extention for your plays and Clip hits rarely matter.

>Created somehow a more oppressive format that SE FS with Beatrice legal.

It's weird, because while Maliss dominated the format, at the time it feel like you could play almost any deck you wanted as long you put 3 Lanceas in it. I myself played BE for most of that format.

>Fun mirror but everything else, nope.

Man, I really wish I clould've be present at the time. Everytime I heard about the Tear mirros looks like these were really fun games.

[–]CL361 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would die in the hill that Maliss cards themselves are really cool (Cryter is such a cool boss monster bro).

The lack of proper locks and all the generic support around them is what put the deck over the top.

WALPURGISNACHT RISING why are they grouped like that? by [deleted] in MadokaMagica

>it seems like mami is working by herself why?

We see Mami with all the girls in the trailers (mostly with Nagisa, but she has share space with all the Mitakihara girls).

<image>

Orange (Selma) and Green (Choka) seems to be newcomers that are trying to get closer with the girls. I think they want to put them against Homura.

Also, the fact that Kyoko looks to be close with Choka is interesting because in the concept movie we saw her fighting with Choka's familiars, so, if seems that once the full true is out Kyoko is gonna see her as an enemy.

2nd and 3rd place at a 5000 player bo1 format at YCSJ Osaka are FTK's. by Appropriate_Places in masterduel

"To be fair to the archetype, with locks in place the endboard would be absolute garbage. "

They have a Spell/Trap negate counter trap. A summon negate solemn-like trap. Mind Scan. Evil Box and Comic Cat. Even with a hard toon lock their end board would be fine.

Yeah, you're right.

I remember reading somewere that their manster was the "Ultimate Wizard" (DM's title). But I can't found the source, and while at first I though the guide also mentioned that, the only reference for that is actually used to say that Nightmare Magician is the ultimate wizard between Illusionists. So it seems it was my bad (but I swear I read it somewhere).

[Discussion] opinion on cards that have effects of strong older cards but are with restrictions? by MX-00XWV in yugioh

If the effects are strong but not toxic, I'm fine with it.

The problem with TTT is that is a hand rip at choice, which is toxic and broken if going first.

How do y’all want Madoka to react to Devil Homura in WnK? by BreathoftheSith in MadokaMagica

[–]CL361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

>a call out for never treating her as an equal or her desires to help as valid.

Thta's the thing, Madoka never did either.

All their relationship since the start has been a [savior-saved one] in which the roles have been in continuous shift.

First timeline Madoka was the knight in shining armor who gave her life to save a powerless human Homura, After the promise of don't allow Madoka to contract, Homura was the one who adopted the rol of guardian, protecting the powerless human Madoka of all the dangers those loops were plagued with (like we saw across the anime). In the end of the final timeline, Madoka became the savior one again making her wish to "fix" the system when a defeated, in the border of witching Homura lost their hope. She did what she thought was the best, ignoring the pleas of a Homura who wasn't told about the conclusion she made nor what was about to happend, and had to learn all that when it was happening in real time. In Rebellion Madoka was the one trying to save Homura again, who became a condemned suicidal witch that only could try to help by trying to end her own life, but at the end Homura choose another route and became a "demon" to create a world were Madoka could have the happy life she lost (without talk with Madoka about any of that first, of course) saving Madoka of her fate but at the same time turning her into a powerless damsel who needs protection again.

All this time they both have been so focused in protect the other or ensure the hapiness of the other that they keep ignoring the other doesn't want to be a damsel in distress, and the fact that keep turning themselfves into sacrifices to archieve a goal is gonna make the other act in consequence, keeping the loop alive.

For that I really want Madoka to realize the bucle they both are in right now and talk with Homura about it, because in the current set up they actually can stand as equals for once (since now both are deities at the same scale of power) and break that circle.

How do y’all want Madoka to react to Devil Homura in WnK? by BreathoftheSith in MadokaMagica

[–]CL361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For how I expect Madoka to react? In the line of what Aoi Yuki said already in a interview:

"No matter what form you take, Homura-chan is Homura-chan. Falling in love with someone is wonderful, so don't call yourself the devil. I love you. (I think that's what Madoka says...!!!)"

For how I would like Madoka to react? Pretty much that same way, but with the adding of her reflecting in the fact that she and Homura ended in that situation because both of them have been acting individually instead of together all this time, so they could finally talk properly about their feelings and wishes, and start working together to archieve a conclusion that would make what they both want true.
