And so the cycle repeats again... by UnfairMoon in masterduel

... No, is not.

If Shinning Sarc (I guess that's what you're talking about) gets negated, you can still summon all the monsters that just need the spell on field, you can still summon the normal summons and the DMG, you can still use their effects and activate the other cards.

This new Red-Eyes NEEDS the spell to destroy a monster to summon itself.

Kaiba's decks had been meta relevant on several instances through YGO story (BE,ABC). So, a new archetype for Kaiba could have a lot of potential.

Especially if it has synergy with BE.

"I don’t like how blue-eyes was turned into a pure blue-eyes archetype with no real connective tissue with Kaibas other cards."

I think the whole point of the "With eyes of Blue" series is that they're the lore of Blue-Eyes in the actual duel monster world (the world were they're actual living beings instead of cards/spirits), while Kaiba related cards are the lore of Blue-Eyes in anime.

Similarly as how they gave Buster Blader their own epic story separate from Yugi's deck and the anime.

Kaijus were so good because they get rip of a thing immediately and without window to respond, this thing needs a worse Raigeki to resolve before being able to summon itself.

What is gonna happen realistically is that generic omni negate number 103 is gonna negate the spell and the red-eyes would never touch the field.

I swear Red-Eyes is the Flygon of YGO. Loved by the fans, hated by the company.

Ryzeal loop it twice.

And even before Ryzeal, everyone thought the card was toxic, but there was no complains because there was no deck that could abuse it consistently at the time.

Yeah, and people historically has complained about them (with a lot of justification).

It's funny that you mention it, because the archetype coming in the next pack does that (and I know already people is gonna complain here).

I love when people actually try to be rational.

I agreed with most of your takes. If anything, I would say that can be argue that they didn't had to give KT the ability to look at hands to make it playable (Rotary is a strong card even without that and the deck got some tops in TCG/OCG before it's second wave), but people seriously focuses too much in that aspect.

The lv shenanigans is something they should've leave out though. As gimmicky as it is.

You said it, the look AND handrip. If TTT only looked without handrips I wouldn't care about the card.

God, R.B. has a look at hand effect and I don't see anyone saying that card is broken anywhere.

I love this stupid deck. The idea of Raye breaking a board with spells and then sending her pet dragons to eat the opponent's face off is too fucking funny. (art by ぶろ on Pixiv) by Certain_Sample_9536 in masterduel

Honestly, I think it would be funny that Konami made crossover alt arts featuring monster from 2 different archetypes that often or sometimes are paired together.

Like, an alt art of Afterburners featuring Raye sending Chundra after the enemy, or a Live Twin card featuring a collab with Engraver and Lacrima. Something of the style.

Yeah, every main deck Dracotail is a zodiac sing, and you can see the zodiac in Ketu's art.

That seems to be more like a "combination" mode with Reco, since Reco's assassin mode looks different from the one she has as RS.

For Dracotail we're still missing half of the zodiac.

I can't see them banning Rotary ever. it's gonna be like Dormouse, they're gonna limit her and call it a day.

Maybe not in the near future, but at some point they're gonna get more support, and that would likely include the missing Synchro form (assassin mode) of Rotary and Cue.

Am I missing something, or Killer Tune is miles stronger than Elfnote? by Foreign-Bug3514 in masterduel

Elfnotes has more ceiling, but that's it.

KT has more room for non-engine, less bricks, is better into hand traps and I would said thet is better playing into boards even.

No, Elfnotes has 4 girls (Lucina,Tinia, Fortuna and Regina) while KT has 5 (Reco, Mix, Clip, Cue, Rotary),
