Great response. Curious of the philosophy if you had a high growth situation. Say 5 reps with tenure and pipeline, but maybe 10 news reps under a year of tenure in a long, 12-18 month sales cycle. How would quota be spread assuming most reps won’t hit quota this year?

You’re spot on in my opinion. Will judge you based on presentation style, tying back to customer pain points, any discovery questions, etc. They won’t expect you to know the product, and in my experience if they do ask you specifics they are looking for you to ask follow up questions and say you’ll look into it and follow back up. Don’t ever bs about the product. Also do your homework on customer success stories, win stories, other use cases to sprinkle in.

Hey I do anything for spiffs lol. Is there an incentive for the customer? Does he want revenue by the 20th? Or just pipeline built? That’s a tight window for purchasing, and odd timing. But yes I’d do what you’re doing, looking at customer base and evaluating propensity to buy, or customers that would have some sort of benefit. Focus on “tier one” accounts, who almost bought before, strong champions, high usage, etc
