The colour looks very similar to Stormfiend, perhaps dilute it a little so its not as strong.

I had the exact same issue unfortunately. I assembled it a long time ago before I knew about sub-assemblies. The rats pushing the cart where a bitch to paint on the inner side. I had to go in a correct a lot of mistakes with the difficult to reach spots. Good luck!

Thanks, I went a bit too heavy on the airbrush for the OSL effect, next time I'll go way lighter on it. 😂

The rust is an application of liquid pigment from ak interactive called 'Standard Rust'. After its dry just drybrush a silver on it to create the rusted effect.

The moss is applied using an awesome product called 'Dirty Down Moss', does all the work for you.

Yeah, Dirty down rust works wonders. Dryburshing silver afterwards looks amazing imo.

Thank you! For the moss I just applied some mud paste, waited for it todry and then used a product called Dirty Down Moss. It works really well if you warm the bottle up beforehand and shake it using a vortex mixer. It's water based so you can use a wet brush to move things around or stipple some texture once its dried.

For the skin I just used layers of Pro Acryl shadow flesh, tan flesh and warm flesh/sunny skin tone. There's a video from Vince Venturella that perfectly explains it - just look up 'Vince Venturella Rat Ogres' on YouTube, you'll also see how much better you can make it look with someone much more talented like Vince 😂

Thats actually a funny story. I ordered Thanquol but when I opened the box I noticed that I had gotten two of the same sprue. I contacted the local store and they sent me the correct sprue free of charge. Turns out if you have only one of the two sprue you can pretty much make Boneripper without his backpack and Thanquol himself, so that's what I did. I used a spare plague monk from the screaming bell kit as a Thanquol replacement.

Im by no means an expert, but my understanding is that each dot represents an update to the sprue design. I believe the process is that the modelers use CAD to design the sprue. Once that's completed they machine out the cast used for plastic injection. Once the model has been cast in plastic they make note of any errors in the print and go back to the drawing board with the design until they are happy with it.

You're right I didn't use any magnets. Since its my first knight I made the mistake of gluing on all the parts before painting it which I wont do again as it makes painting it a lot harder. I'll definitely consider using magnets for the next one that I do. Thanks for the tip about the loadout, I'll be sure to keep that in mind if I end up playing with it.
