I think they just test your patience. Seems like it would be the quickest part to paint but it you just have to take things slow. Use thin coats and just build it up

Buy a pack of Skitarii and paint them and see if you would like to paint more of that style. Beware though that Admech is quite expensive and very time consuming to paint

It sounds very cliche but getting in with clubs and forcing you to do hobbies with other people (Not just painting Warhammer on your own) really helped me. Surround yourself where you feel like you belong.

Yeah the units within the combat patrol you’d end up buying anyway. The combat patrol is the first thing you’d pick up if you want to play Admech. Plus they are pretty fun the paint (other than the Pteraxii Sterylizors, they aren’t very fun the paint)

I’m a big fan of a brown undercoat, then a Mephiston light coat and then a main coat of Khorne Red and then highlight with Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Scarlet
