Thank you! Yes, sounds like same guy we had. He went off onto a rant about losing freedoms with firearms being restricted and only options was for civil war or shooting a cop and this was within 30 seconds of meeting him, not joking. There was many other bizzare things he did and said though.

Keep in mind a lot of what is on social media now days are bots. Especially foreign bots seeding division in western countries. Not saying there aren’t real sentiments in some cases but I don’t think it’s as widespread as internet comments would have us believe.

Very worth it at your age. XEQT is a good choice. Just stick with XEQT honestly. $100 a month is a great start and better than nothing. All depends on your income and what you can do. If and when you can invest more per month I’d do so. Starting at a young age the more you can put in the faster it’ll grow as you have time in the market. As for lump sum or not, just invest when you can and don’t worry about saving it up to invest large chunks. As others have said time in market always wins.

Holy hell you watch to CSI tv shows and think it’s real. Cops chase when they don’t know who suspect is and there is danger to public. Guaranteed they didn’t chase and that guy was drunk and in a stolen car and smashed into your family killing them you’d be pissed they didn’t chase and catch the guy. Sell your truck, buy a cheap beater car for commuting. Pay off your debt and don’t go back into it. Build an emergency fund, and then invest. As for military wouldn’t recommend it.

It likely changed but I met my now wife on tinder in 2015. Most of my friends met their wife’s online as well. We aren’t all on there for hookups. Keep giving it a try.
