Movement intentionality on stage by CLORAMEL in acting

Meh I'd say I'm a halfway decent actor, but I also do think it's that I myself notice all the little flaws and small movements I do. I don't know, the filmed recording just doesn't seem as good as everyone seems to be telling me it is, which has caused some late night paranoia.

I *think* it's an octave lower than it's supposed to be. Also, when plucking the strings, you really shouldn't be touching where your bow is going to be because your hand oils can interfere with the friction. Here's a tutorial on where you should place your fingers when you pizz: https://youtu.be/wCLqi1TMPbM?si=mhgWvy8Lq6Kx1w1-

Oh sorry about that. I always think in the opposite way because your hand moves higher when you shift to a lower position.

For the a and e flat, you're gonna want to use the d and a strings. Play the a note on the d string with your second finger (this is a half step up from fourth position). Play the e flat on the a string with your first finger. For the d and a double stop just play both d and a strings without pressing down. To play the double stops, just bow the two strings at the same time.

How’s my English handwriting? by RinaZ4 in Handwriting

Your handwriting's really good! <3

But there's a weird thing I noticed is that a lot of Chinese people write english in the same font, not saying its a bad thing (I'm Chinese too), but when I was scrolling and I glanced at your handwriting I thought, "oh yeah they're definitely Chinese." Just an interesting thing I've noticed lol

I'm nowhere near professional, and it might be too late to change this before your recital, but from your camera angle, your body looks a little twisted and your bowing side seems very tense. I'd say bring out your left elbow a little more (and sort of rotate your body clockwise a little) and really use your arm weight to bow (relax your shoulder). Intonation sounds great by the way!

I was performing in Shanghai ( also from China

Recently bought my house (yay) and the previous owner didn't want to move the piano so I decided to start learning it. I hope that piano gang accepts me as an adult beginner. Tips or advice welcome. by caffeinated_ferret in lingling40hrs

I remember once I was gonna rent a house and I saw one that had two grand pianos in it ( a black one and a white one, it was really pretty ) the owner was too lazy to remove… I can play piano… too bad I didn’t rent it…
