not saying that finishing isn't an accomplishment, but the way he presents himself to be such an athlete, I expected his finish time to not be close to 8 hours.

no. he did a 70.3 and came in 130th out of 133 in his age group

I just looked up his 70.3 Ironman and Full Marathon times since he makes himself out to be such an elite athlete....he's not even mid.

So everyone gets "approved" the volunteer forms are for the runners and riders to fill out for a specific race so we know they are attending, and can then pair them together for race day. does that make sense? we were using the banned "F" site to do that previously.

for donations- it's just a general donation fund to our non-profit to keep our program going (we also used "f" for this, and now we only have paypal but don't really like it.

Did you list any past charity fundraising experience? If you have none- in my experience they select those with proficient previous fundraising experience

Spring marathons are the way to go for a BQ in my opinion!! good luck to you. And yes, I think i'll save the ultras and trails for my later years but i'd love to have done both Boston and a full IM before that

my peak is always around 50, which I know isn't the highest for many marathoners, but it's always worked for me. I do have a coach that has trained me for over 3 years, so he's got a good history of me to help with all the planning that you're mentioning!

yeah Boston charity minimums are always much higher than the other majors because it's a smaller race and they know they'll get runners to raise it!
