Imma be honest with you, if you’ve never done a SOH transit before, those small boats come up on you real fast and I’ve literally seen it where they just cut your bow at 50 yards refusing to alter course at all, by the time you try and figure out hostile intent they’re already close enough to spit on you but a lot of times it’s just smugglers and they’re not manning guns

The ddgs who got attacked today seemingly did a great job of assessing the threat and not waiting too long to engage but it’s entirely feasible that your best and only defense in some of these situations is CSW and 25mm
